Sun Flower College of Engineering & Technology has conducted a National level  Two day Technical Symposium at Lankapalli on 2^nd and 3^rd March 2010.  Students from various colleges were participated. 

In Civil Engineering Division III/IV B.Tech students  T.Anil Pradyumna (Y7ce204) and R.Dinish Reddy (Y7ce214) stood First in paper presentation contest on the Topic “Ground Improvement Techniques” & they were awarded a cash prize of Rs.3000. The award was given by Mrs.P.Susila.

P.V.S.Nageswarao (L8ce275) & S.Anusha (L8ce272) stood First prize in Poster Presentation and  Nachar (L8ce284) & B.Sai Deepika (Y7ce241) stood Second Prize in Poster Presentation.

YUVARATNA AWARDS-2009 OF BIRLA WHITE

BIRLA WHITE has conducted a Nation Level competition on "Innovative concepts for product application in Civil Engineering" on 07-11-2009 at Hyderabad. and final competition was held at Mumbai on 23^rd January-2010. In Civil Engineering Division Ms.V.Tanuja (Y6CE255) IV/IV B Tech student stood first and she was awarded "YUVARATNA". 1^st prize and given memento and cash prize of Rs.50,000/-

1300 students from all over the country have participated in this event. Four of KL University students V.Tanuja (Y6CE255), A.Manoj (Y6CE222), M.Gayatri (L7CE271), CV.Madhubala (Y7CE224), D.Tharun (Y7CE256) reached to Top 100 and two of them ( V.Tanuja and CV.Madhubala) stood in Top 10. In Finals V.Tanuja stood First in Civil Engineering Category.

The award was given by the Chief Guest Mrs.Rajashree Birla.

Mr. A.Major Kumar (Y6CE222) has attended "winter IISC national Training for Entry to Research" conducted by Civil Engineering Department of IISC, Bangalore during 28-10-09 to 02-01-10.

O.Viswanath (Y7CE262) and E.Phanindar (Y7CE276) have participated in MASTER CAD event of CREADORZ 10 conducted by Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam on 29^th and 30^th of January 2010 and won first prize.

KSHS.Maharshi (L7CE272)  has participated in MINDWINDERS event of CREADORZ 10 conducted by Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam on 29^th and 30^th of January 2010 and won second prize.

S.Navya (Y6CE229) IV/IV student has participated in Inter District Power lifting Championship – 2009 organised by Visakha District power lifting Association and Vizag Steel Plant at Visakhapatnam on 24 th and 25 th of November 2009 and won gold medal.

S.Navya (Y6CE229) and D.V.Nagaraju (Y6CE224) have participated in Acharya Nagarjuna University inter collegiate power lifting, weight lifting competitions held at A.S.N Degree College, Tenali on 6th and 7th January 2010 and won Gold and Silver medals respectively.

S.Navya (Y6CE229) Won Silver Medal in South India Power Lifting Champion ship in Pondicherry in 22^nd July 2009.

Mr Abdul Ravoof (Y7CE201), Mr V.V.P.Raju (Y6CE260) and Mr R.Nagendrababu (Y6CE225) have represented KLEF University Cricket team, participated in Acharya Nagarjuna University inter collegiate Cricket tournament held at V.R.Siddhardha Engineering College between 02-12-09 to 08-12-09, secured first prize and retained the shield.

Niraj Maharjan (L8CE281) represented KL University Foot ball team, participated in Acharya Nagarjuna University Foot ball Tournament held on 20/12/09 and won Second prize.
