About

The Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering was started in the academic year 1999 – 2000 with an intake of 60 and increased to 120 in the academic year 2006-2007. This discipline is unique, featuring courses of both Computer Science Engineering and Electronics Engineering.The department was accredited by N.B.A, ISO 9001-2000 certified. The department has eminent faculty from both areas to equip the students with the current technological trends. Apart from this, the department also encourages students to participate in technical events on-campus and off-campus.The department has its own significant student organization named ESSENCE, which acts as forum for students to present their skills, both technical and non-technical. The department has a well equipped Embedded Systems Lab and a Research and Development wing. Apart from this, the department also has a computer centre that is equipped with state-of-art computer systems and leased line internet connection. The department library has nearly 309 titles,50 volumes CD’s on various subjects for the intermediate use of staff and students.

The department stands tall with the latest achievements its students have made. To mention some,the percentage of students selected for the on-campus jobs offered by Satyam, CTS, Wipro, TCS,INFOSYS, DSL Technologies, ADP, HCL, Caritor, Slash Support,Oracle, Igate, Accenture, Resonance,Holdings etc is among the highest in the college. Apart from this, the number of students pursuing their higher education in prestigious institutions like University of Southern California,George Mason University, University of Texas at Dallas, John Hopkins University, New Mexico State University etc…is also considerably high. Besides academics the department also excelled in sports and other extra-curricular activities. Students have participated and won accolades in various State and National Level Volleyball, Table Tennis and Chess competitions. The department has been continuously organizing events like Paper presentations and Workshops. Many National Level Paper Presentation contests named EFFLUX-2K6, AIKYA and Nipuna were conducted for the benefit of students, in which students from various prestigious institutions across the country presented their research in latest technologies, which were a grand success. We have also organized Workshops on Embedded Systems,(WAVES’05) on 19th and 20th Decemeber, 2005and Foss on 07thfeb 11th & 12th ,2007.Anroid ,Thrusang-2012 were also conducted by the department
