Shibulal, K Dinesh and with N. S. Raghavan officially being the first employee
of the company. Founders started the company with an initial investment of INR
10,000.The company was incorporated as "Infosys Consultants Pvt Ltd." in Model
Colony, Pune as the registered
office.
INFOSYS
MYSORE:
Infosys, Mysore employs a large number of IT professionals every year.
The extravagance is in its dimensions , spread over 270 acres, able to
accommodate nearly 5,000 students at a time. It is the largest corporate
training centre in the
world.
There
are around one thousand and five hundred software trainees being recruited in
this place. The development center here have two blocks meant for developing
software. There are facilities for video- conferencing, discussion rooms and
testing labs, in order to create an excellent environment for
training.
Infosys Technologies is a leader in the worldwide business related to
information technology and consulting services. They provide product engineering
services, application development, system integration, business consulting, etc.
there are about thirty five thousand software professionals all over the world,
working with Infosys and serving the
clients.
GLOBAL
EDUCATION CENTER:
The
Global Education Center of Infosys is located in Mysore. There are about 58
training rooms, a well stocked library and a large number of faculty rooms.
Fresh engineering graduates are trained here on different aspects of developing
software. Apart from training in various technology programs development of
leadership qualities are also taken care
of.
Mysore of tomorrow, which signals the emergence of a globally competitive
India , will probably come to be symbolised by the Global Education
Centre.
CISF:
The
facility of software giant Infosys is under Central Industrial Security Force
(CISF) security cover. Infosys is only the third private sector installation to
get government protection.A special unit of 48 commandos of CISF looks over the
security of the sprawling campus at
Mysore.
The
Mysore facility of the Infosys is the third private sector unit in the country
to be provided the security cover of the central para-military force after the
Infosys campus and the Electronics city complex, both located in Bangalore, were
extended the same
protection.
HEALTH
AND FITNESS:
In
order to take good care of the all round development of the trainees there are
also facilities for health and fitness center, swimming pool, etc. In the
employee care center there is a meditation hall, tennis room, squash court,
Jacuzzi and so on.
CONCLUSION:
Infosys' top and bottom line certainly make it exceptional. But if you
look a little deeper and seek what lies behind that exceptional performance you
find a commitment to excellence and an ability to maintain quality even while
expanding at a breathtaking
pace.
Infosys seldom allows itself the luxury of extravagant thought on
anything that is not deliverable in a pre-determined timeframe. But it has
ideals that are among the loftiest. The two come together in its Mysore
centre.
