SATELLITE BOTRICS WORKSHOP

On the 13th & 14th of February, 2014, Satellite Botrics Workshop was conducted by Faculty Coordinators Mr. S.Susrutha Babu and Mr. S.Suparshya Babu of ECE Department in association with IIT Delhi & RoboSapiens Company. Totally 173 students from various departments of K L University were participated in the workshop, as well as in the zonal round conducted by the Resource persons.

The workshop continued in 2 days as following:

ON DAY 1(13th Feb, 2014):

The workshop was grandly started with a prayer song and inaugurated by our Dean Student Affairs, Dr.Habibulla Khan and HOD of ECE, Dr.ASCS. Sastry. Later Mr.Bhupendra Singh, Research Engineer from RoboSapians started the pre-lunch session on “Basics of electronics” and Mr.Shashank Sekhar Singh, another research engineer from RoboSapiens supported him.

Later after a tea break, Robo-kits were distributed to all students on by making them into ‘38’batches through their registration process.

The post-lunch session was started with” Microprocessors and Microcontrollers” especially ‘ATMEGA 8/16/32’ and made students learn about how to write programs in embedded C language and also to dump the code into the microcrontroller .Therefore the day1 sessions were ended.

ON DAY2 (14th Feb. 2014):

The Pre-lunch session was started with ‘sensors and motors’and how to use them.Later Resource Person made students to prepare a robot from the given kits and also students were instructed to write a code for the Robots like Line Follower Robot, Edge Controlled Robot.And the most enthusiastic students prepared both the types of robot.

The post-lunch session started with introduction of GSM and DTMF modules and also resource person instructed students to prepare mobile robot and to write code and to dump the program into the microcontroller and that task was done by the students .Later the GPS was introduced to students ,also GPS software and program was explained and given to students .

Finally at 4:40 pm on day 2, resource persons conducted a zonal round on by giving a question and there by Four Batches were selected for Final Competition in IIT Delhi.
