National Business & Service Excellence Award 2016

Instituted in 2015, the National Business and Service Excellence Awards are organized each year by India’s leading media and marketing group Praxis Media in association with Business Synergy, India’s well reputed online business and services resource, and Global Brands Network, a confederation of most valuable brands worldwide. The Awards are organized to recognize and celebrate those Achievers, Innovators, and Leaders of India’s business and services sector that have maximized their potential and mastered the art of delivering excellent products and services. This year, the Awards were presented to more than 50 winners at 5 different levels. The elaborate, exacting, and meticulous selection process included inviting nominations from potential nominees, performing background research and surveys, collating feedback and opinions, and using input from all of these means to evaluate nominees on a scale of pre-determined parameters by an independent jury panel. The evaluation parameters included Market Presence & Competition, Growth & Profitability, Quality & Operational Excellence, Financial & Business Acumen, Innovation, Ingenuity and Imagination, Sustainability & Environmental Consideration, Job & Impact Potential, Customer & Industry Feedback, Use of Technology, Efforts for Risk & Setback Mitigation, and Previous Awards & Achievements.

Recognized as a Deemed University in 2009 by the Government of India’s (GoI’s) apex higher education regulator University Grants Commission (UGC), K L E F is a large, multidisciplinary, and non-governmental technical university in India with the vision to be among South Asia’s top 5 independent universities by 2020. How to Register a private limited company in INDIA ?

CLIMATHON-VIJAYAWADA

KLU-CIIE has organized an event called CLIMATHON in association with Y-SQUARE an Incubator established under Public-Private Partnership mode by Mr.Ratna Kumar a serial entrepreneur and alumni of K L E F. Vijayawada is the second biggest city in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The economy of Vijayawada is expected to grow by 6 times by 2025. This growth in economy will be through development of agricultural exports, tourism, industries and transportation situated in the city. The challenge is to undergo ideation that will help cultivate innovative business ideas that have minimalist environmental impact and commit to transforming the sectors. Three key topics will be put up for the participants to address:
1. Green logistics and storage of agricultural produce
2. Transform the transportation sector through use of IoT & Big Data
3. How to utilize the Digital Door Number Scheme to generate smarter waste collection Benefits from Climathon?
• Help solve your city’s local climate challenge, and make your city more resilient to climate change • Network with local leaders from academia, business and public authorities
• Develop your skills in public speaking, innovative thinking, prioritization, and explore new tools and methodologies
• Join forces with other like-minded entrepreneurs and innovators
• Become a part of a global community working together to take climate action!
To play mentors to the participants, close to a dozen experts from across the Europe have been roped in. They include Daniel Hires, Project Manager at SwitchMed from Barcelona area; Galina Emelina, visual facilitator and design thinking coach from Berlin, Germany; Scott Bolden, a sustainable solutions designer from Berlin; Charmaine Ho, marketing consultant from London; Eddie Capstick, Director at MakeSense, London, UK; Guglielmo Apolloni, a designer and social-entrepreneur from Milan; Darino Onoprienko (Innovation for Sustainability) from Berlin in Germany; Fiamma DeglInnocenti, design thinker, from Berlin; and Heide Puckert from Hamburg, Germany. Based upon the above three themes or topics Design Thinking practice was bestowed to the participants from different colleges.The participants worked as a team over a specific topic or problem and came out with plan and solution in the form of well defined idea and implementation process that solve the problem in the selected societal issue.Nearly 300 students of different colleges in Andhra Pradesh participated in this event. The participants were given certificate and the best three ideas were awarded. ×
