About Department
The department started undergraduate program in the year 1995 and post graduate program in the specialization of Power Electronics and Power Systems in the year 2004. The Department is re-accredited by NBA for five years in the year 2008. The Department is offering Two Post Graduate Programs with the specialization in Power Systems and Power Electronics & Drives. The Department also offers Ph.D program in all major areas of Electrical Engineering. Active research is going on in the areas of Power Systems, Power Electronics & Drives and Control Systems. The Department has undertaken AICTE & UGC sponsored R & D projects. The Department has very strong interaction with several reputed industries like CPRI, BHEL, VTPS, Vijay Electricals, Medha Servo Drives, LANCO etc.
