IDEA PRESENTATION:
ABOUT:
""Sometimes when you innovate, you make mistakes. It is best to admit them quickly, and get on with improving your other innovations."
"Steve Jobs"
So let's bring your innovative ideas within yourself and exhibit here.
The motto of Idea presentation is to discover the best ideas and innovations from across the nation that would reform and revolutionize the present day scenario in India. An idea is like a virus, because it's rooting deep in your mind, it can grow, and it can change you, a good idea with proper action has the potential of changing the world. All of us want India to become a respectable super power in the world and for that we need innovative ideas with proper plan of action. All India needs is an idea, a belief and a vision to spark a revolution. Ideate invites everyone to lend a helping hand to our very own society and improve the lives of millions. Ideate urges everyone to think and act so as to bring about changes in the life of millions. If you have any idea then bring it to the surface because
"The value of an idea lies in the using of it" - Thomas A. Edison.

1)Wind Power Appliances: In terms of wind power installed capacity, India ranked 5th in the world. Today India is a major player in the global wind energy market. With all the emphasis on massive power generating wind turbines it is important to remember that wind energy can also operate on a much smaller scale. Wind energy is being used to charge electronics gadget of daily necessities like mobiles, watches, etc. -->Problem Statement: Participants are invited with innovative ideas to use wind energy as an alternate source of energy. Participants can use wind energy from day to day activities like a moving car or trains. 2)Fly-ash: -->Problem Statement: Participants can come up with innovative ideas to use fly-ash as a filling material, improving brick manufacturing industry, agriculture industry. 3)Plastic Waste: -->Problem Statement: 4)Energy Efficiency in daily activities: -->Problem statement: 5)Feeding Field: -->Problem Statement: 6)Energy Consumption: -->Problem Statement: 7) Micro-generation : 8) Transmission Losses : -->problem statement : *****Ideas related to latest development in alternative power generation such as hybrid vehicles, peizo electric generation and renewable source utilization are also welcomed CONTACT: Event Co-ordinators: 1) K.Adithya sai krishna : 8106340002 2)Y Sindhu Chowdary: +91 9492771865 DETAILS:
PROBLEM STATEMENTS:
Fly ash is one of the numerous substances that cause air, water and soil pollution, disrupt ecological cycles and set off environmental hazards. When pulverized coal is burnt to generate heat, the residue contains 80 percent fly ash and 20 percent bottom ash. The World Bank cautioned INDIA that within 2015 disposal of coal ash would require 1000 square kilometers or one square meter of land per person. Currently, 90 million tonnes of fly ash is being generated annually in India, with 65,000 acres of land being occupied by ash ponds. Such a huge quantity does pose challenging problems, in the form of land usage, health hazards and environmental dangers. Fly ash can be used for construction of road & embankment. It improves the plant’s water and nutrient uptake.
Plastic, one of the inventions of 20th century, is an omnipresent material. Plastic has replaced the traditional material (paper / cloth etc.,) as packing and carry bags because of cost of convenience. About 1 million plastic bags are used every minute, and a single plastic bag can take 1,000 years to degrade. India has witnessed a substantial growth in the ingesting of plastics and increased production of plastic waste. The plastic waste is now considered as environmental hazard due to the "Throw away culture". This has lead to reduced rate of rain water percolating, soil fertility deterioration, Fish and other marine species in the water ways, misapprehension plastic garbage as food items swallow them and die and many other such issues. There are solution to this issue like using them in road construction, generating energy from plastic waste, as a soil stabilizer, can be converted into liquid and vapor hydrocarbons.
Suggest ways to reuse plastic waste to help our earth survive for some more time.
The motion from everyday tasks can provide low-cost electricity for lighting and other appliances in households. Incorporating electricity generation into the daily routine can reduce the time, effort, and cost burden of the user. We feel that harnessing daily tasks to provide electricity is more acceptable than general power production units.
Redesigning of appliances of day to day use so that they become more energy efficient, user friendly or may be try to tap in the energy released by the appliance when it’s operating.
Whenever one of the phases in the fields within 3 phases is short circuited at the night times, the fuse might get damage. At that moment no line men will be present there to repair that one.
Participants need to come up with an innovative ideas suggesting a 3-ø induction motor to run with 2-ø at that time.
We are giving more illumination to the light where the traffic is more in cities, but the traffic will not be same from evening 6pm up to morning 6am.
Participants need to come up with innovative ideas that how we can conserve energy and use for future purpose.
Microgeneration is the small-scale generation of heat and electric power by individuals, small businesses and communities to meet their own needs, as alternatives or supplements to traditional centralized grid-connected power. Although this may be motivated by practical considerations, such as unreliable grid power or long distance from the electrical grid, the term is mainly used currently for environmentally conscious approaches that aspire to zero or low-carbon footprints. It differs from micropower in being principally concerned with heavy, fixed power plants rather than mobility.
-->Problem Statement:
Participants can come up with ideas on different ways of Microgeneration .Ways in which an individual can implement it in a simple way
India's electricity sector is amongst the world's most active players in renewable energy utilization, especially wind energy. As of December 2011, India had an installed capacity of about 22.4 GW of renewal technologies-based electricity, exceeding the total installed electricity capacity in Austria by all technologies.India's network losses exceeded 32% in 2010 including non-technical losses, compared to world average of less than 15%. Both technical and non-technical factors contribute to these losses, but quantifying their proportions is difficult. Some experts estimate that technical losses are about 15% to 20%, A high proportion of non‐technical losses are caused by illegal tapping of lines, but faulty electric meters that underestimate actual consumption also contribute to reduced payment collection. A case study in Kerala estimated that replacing faulty meters could reduce distribution losses from 34% to 29%.
Individuals should come up with innovative ideas to prevent illegal electrical theft. Methods of effective technical loss reduction are prefferedFOR MORE DETAILS:
