Direct admission for Foreign Nationals/PIOs

Office of Foreign Students Cell of K.L. University is a nodal point for admission to the Foreign Students. All the students intending to seek admission under the category of  Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin shall apply directly to the office of Foreign Students Cell.

Definitions :

  1. Foreign Nationals : Citizens of all countries other than India, who are not of Indian Origin as defined under PIO.
  2.  Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) : Persons who are citizens of other countries (except Pakistan and Bangladesh) who at any time held an Indian Passport, or who or either of his parents or any of his grand parents were a citizen of India by virtue of the provisions of the Constitution of India or Sec 2(b) of Citizenship Act, 1955 (Act No. 57 of 1955).
  3.  Foreign Student : Foreign student in this context shall be defined as the student who possesses a  foreign passport.

Admission Procedure:

Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech. courses under this category of Foreign Nationals/PIOs should have obtained a minimum of 50% or equivalent grade in the Intermediate/ 12th /HSC/ A-level examination.

Filled in applications along with 2 passport photographs, photocopies of SLC/O-level/10th mark sheet, HSC/A-level/12th transcript, migration certificate, conduct/ character certificate, passport/ citizenship certificate, shall be sent to the Prof-In-Charge, Foreign Students Cell, K.L.University.

Admissions will be given on first come first serve basis, for all the eligible candidates. Admission letters will be sent to the candidates after paying an advance fee through bank draft in favour K.L.University, payable at Vijayawada.

Admission letter enables the Indian Embassy to provide student visa from their countries, for visa applicable countries.

Students are given full information and guidance on how to arrive campus.

After arrival, Foreign Students are given sufficient guidance in providing hostel accommodation, FRO’s registration work, visa extension work, opening bank account etc.

Fee Structure:

The fees structure for B.Tech. program for the foreigners for 2010-11 is as follows:
 
TUITION FEE = $1500 /per year(for SAARC Countries)
                    = $2000 /per year(for other Countries)
ADMISSION FEE = $250 (one time)
IT SERVICES FEE = $250 (one time)
CAUTION DEPOSIT = $150 (refundable)

Laptop is compulsory (Laptop can be purchased at campus with all relevant software etc.)
All originals are to be submitted at the time of joining along with the total fee.

Admissions are given on FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis.
NO ENTRANCE EXAMINATION - NO DONATIONS.
