The library has started its automation activities in the year 2001. The library database consists of all the books, back volumes of periodicals, project reports etc. The database is connected to the campus-wide Local Area Network (LAN) for the benefit of network users in all the departments. User can search the database by Author, Title, Subject, Vendor, Publisher to know whether a book/document is there in library or not its status. Library has replaced its card catalogue with Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) terminals for users. Two terminals near of the Stack area and one is Reference section. Library is using Barcode technology and biometric technology at the Circulation desk for issue and return transactions. We are also maintaining the gate Register at the entrance of  the library to record number of users to the libarry.
