About the Department

The Department of Business Administration was established in 2006. The Department has already made giant strides in the field of quality management education. The department aims at producing managers who are professionally competent, ethically conscious and socially responsible. The department has an enviable combination of well-qualified faculty and exuberance of youth. The program offered by KL University comparable to the best B-schools in the country, includes state-of-the art industry driven curriculum and delivery methodologies. Visiting faculty from India and abroad constitute an important part of the program delivery.

Structure of the Program

The Program consists of four semesters spread over a period of two years embodying:

  3. Sectoral specialization courses
  4. Industrial internship & Management Thesis

Specialized Courses*

A student must choose two streams of specializations (Dual) out of three specializations available –

Sectoral Specialization Courses*

In addition to the specialized courses, a student must also choose one sectoral specialization out of three options available

  • Banking services management

Student Internship Program and Management Thesis

Industrial Internship Program is an attempt to bridge the gap between the academic institutions and the corporate world. It provides an opportunity to the students to experience the corporate environment and combine classroom learning with real life situations in the organizations. The duration of the programme is 12 weeks and it has to be undertaken during the intervening period between the close of Semester II and the commencement of Semester III. In addition to this, the students have to prepare and present Management thesis which is a comprehensive research project.

  • Use of e-learning software and e-resources for effective conduct of program and the students are accessible to Wi-Fi Networks in the campus and hostels
  • 'MENTORING' has been initiated to facilitate counselling (both directive and non-directive) to bring in emotional stability and re-orientation of the students
  • The department has been offering IT specialization voluntarily to III & IV Semester MBA students in addition to their opted (regular) dual specialization as a part of value addition
  • International collaborations have been set up with Technical University of Cluz Napoca, Romania, St. Louise University, USA and University of Massachusetts, Lowell, USA.
  • The department has organized prestigious a one-day National workshop (Adwise) - on Advertising through Brand building, on 22nd September, 2007, first of its kind in Andhra Pradesh by any technical engineering institution
  • The department has organized a two day National level management student meet FlyWheel on 18th &19th February 2008
  • The department has MOU with 3i-Infotech to offer Insurance Technology Course.
