Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2022 Concludes at KL Deemed to be University
The World's biggest open innovation model, Smart India Hackathon (SIH) was concluded at KL Deemed to be University in its Vijayawada campus on August 26th 2022. During the SIH grand finale, student teams worked round-the-clock under the guidance of mentors, and a few were able to make their mark and won the hackathon.
KL Deemed to be University was selected as a nodal center to facilitate the software edition of the two-day long SIH 2022, where a total of 30 teams, more than 100 participants, competed against seven problem statements, and only seven teams were selected as the final winners. The University hosted problem statements mentioned by the Ministry of Mines and Ministry of Diary.
The valedictory function witness presence of the chief guest Shri G. S. Naveen Kumar, IAS, Special Secretary to Govt. of AP, Department of Health, Medical & Family Welfare and Dr. Sundar Balakrishna, IFS, Special Secretary to Govt of AP, Department of IT , Electronics and Communications Department who was the Guest of Honor for the event.
The Vice-chancellor of KL Deemed to be University, Dr. G. Pardha Saradhi Varma, said that I am glad to witness the amazing creative ideas of the students, their enthusiasm and talent. The university encourages students to develop a culture of problem-solving and product invention, and regularly hosts different events on campus, to provides an excellent platform for them to excel in their artistic endeavors at the local and national levels. He re-affirmed the university's support to students who want to achieve success outside of the realms of academia and research.

About SIH 2022
SIH 2022 was organized by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in New Delhi. Different Ministries, departments, PSUs, and private organizations contributed to providing problem statements to the Smart India Hackathon. 62 organizations submitted 476 problem statements for SIH 2022.
