KL Student becomes World Champion in the Vuram Codathon 2022

KL Deemed to be University student Annavarapu Arun Kumar stood 1st in the recently held Vuram Codathon 2022. He is currently pursuing B. Tech CSE (Honors) with Cloud & Edge Computing Specialization program (8.7 CGPA). He is proficient and certified in various commercial cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and more.

Vuram Codathon 2022 is a unique opportunity to showcase one’s coding skills and win prizes worth INR 2.5 lakhs alongside exploring career opportunities with Vuram. This hackathon was attended by 4396 coders worldwide, and there was a head-to-head competition.

The hackathon was divided into two segments - the first one was an MCQ round, and the second one was a coding round. I was successful in showcasing the best of my abilities, impressed the judges, and cleared both rounds with flying colors. It was a very humbling experience, said the excited Arun Kumar.

After winning the award, he was given an offer letter from Vuram Company; however, further employment details are yet to be disclosed. Arun Kumar is a native of Eluru, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. His father is a businessman. He feels that if one is strong in the current on-demand skills, one will have a greater chance to secure a good job.

Arun is the Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect. He is proficient in coding and possesses strong knowledge of Java. Generally, employees with good experience in cloud technologies usually appear and clear such certifications.

A strong industry-oriented curriculum, industry-certified faculty, and regular practice of coding and hackathons are how KL Deemed to be University support its students. The CSE department conducts continuous training sessions, industry expert sessions, and hackathons and encourages global certifications to ensure students reach the expected level of the current job market.
