KL Deemed to be University Ranks among Top in NIRF 2022
27th Rank in All India University Ranking

KL Deemed to be University has stood 1st in Andhra Pradesh and 27th among all Indian universities in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking 2022, a methodology adopted by the Ministry of Education for the national-level annual ranking of higher education institutions.

It is the highest ranking achieved by the University in the NIRF, and it is now among the top 30 universities at the national level. The University got a score of 52.33. Last year, the University ranked 35th and jumped eight spots to secure 27th rank this year. Members of the teaching and non-teaching faculty and employees associated with the University celebrated the feat.

KL Deemed to be University that had improved its rank from 50th in 2021 to 44th this year in the engineering category has a score of 51.93. The University is ahead of prominent and prestigious Universities in India. In the Management category, the University bagged 47th position and came second in the state with a score of 51.27

In the Overall ranking of educational institutions across the country, only two Universities from Andhra Pradesh made it into the Top 100. One among them is KL Deemed to be University, which rose to 54th rank from 69th rank last year, and it ranks first in the state, and the University got a score of 49.71. 

The higher education institutions which participated in NIRF 2022 were ranked under eleven categories: overall, university, colleges, research institutions, engineering, pharmacy, management, dental, medical, law, and architecture.

The calculation of the overall score is based on the weightage assigned to each head. The overall score can take a maximum value of 100. The institutions are rank-ordered based on their scores. 

On the achievement, President, Er Koneru Satyanarayana, said, "we are humbled by the recognition of the University for its inspiring and dedicated teaching, world-class infrastructure, academic excellence, and renowned faculty. The rankings help us see a perceptible difference in how the University is developing and working towards the set parameters year by year."

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2022 ranks India’s top colleges and universities based on the parameters agreed upon by the core committee set up by MHRD. The parameters are broadly divided into five categories- Teaching, Learning and Resources, Research and Professional Practices, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity, and Perception.

The University inaugurated KLH Global Business School, an ultra-modern B-School dedicated to its internationally normative business courses, in May 2022. The school offers promising courses such as Global MBA, Executive MBA, PG Programs, Management Development Programs, Leadership Development Programs, and custom programs. The school offers innovative methods of teaching backed by the Harvard Case Methodology that empowers students with critical thinking and impactful decision-making prowess.
