KL wins Prestigious Water Digest Water Awards 2022-23 - Best Water Management - 'Institution'
KL Deemed to be University has been awarded the Best Water Management- Institution by Advance Water Digest Pvt. Ltd. 2022-23 in an event supported by UNESCO and the Ministries of Jal Shakthi and Environment of the Government of India. The university is honored by this award for its exceptional water management strategies and conservation measures. With its operations, inventions, and associated initiatives, the University is helping to create a water-secure world. The Chief Guest Hon’ble Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Cabinet Minister in Ministry of Jal Shakti, Sister Shivani, life coach from Brahma Kumari’s Spiritual Movement of India presided over the felicitation and presented the award to Dr. V Rajesh, Dean, P&D, KL Deemed to be University in New Delhi on 16th March 2023.
The environmental impact, efficacy of water consumption, ease of replication, advantages of the system, and sustainability of the institution’s water management practices were the primary characteristics examined for this award. With its water management policy and the 4R philosophy of Reduce, Recharge, Recycle, and Reuse, KL Deemed to be University performed best in the aforementioned categories. This was the only award in the institution category, that was bestowed to the University. More than 23 awards including Govt. organizations were announced in various categories. The majority of awards (11+) were announced and received by the various IAS Directors and Govt. Secretaries.

Previous award information: Before this, the University has already received 2nd Prize in “Excellence in Water Management”- in all India South Region by the CII in the National Water Awards for Excellence in Water Management competition.
