2 Students’ Team of KL Deemed to be University to participate in the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2022
With dreams in their eyes and creative ideas in mind, the students of KL Deemed to be University have embarked on a journey to do something big in life.
Two student teams (each comprising six students) from the University got selected to participate in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) Grand Finale. Among the two teams, the Arise and Educate team is led by Mr. Mutnuri Karrthikeya Sarma, and The Warriors team is led by Ms. Vyshnavi Gorantla. Under mentorship by the women-power of Ms. Vyshnavi, a 3rd-year CSE Honours, the team members are moving ahead with joy and enthusiasm. Her other team members include Mulaguri Asish Tony, Sriyaa Narisety, Nirmal Ganesh Yarramaneni, Nallapu Sasikiran, Boddukuri Vinod Babu, are from 3rd year CSE Honors course. All of them aspire to win the prize and feel it is a great opportunity to participate in the World’s Biggest Open Innovation Model, which is only possible with the right guidance and encouragement from their faculty mentor Dr. Prashant Shukla. This team will participate at the nodal center in Gunupur, Odisha and provide solutions to the problem statement title- University Integrated Information System.
Talking about the excitement about the opportunity, Vyshnavi said, "We are extremely happy to be part of such a big event, our whole team is very excited, and we hope to win in the Grand Finale. The entire process provided us with a great learning experience, and we will continue to work towards the betterment of society with our innovative solutions in the future.”
The team, Arise and Educate, headed by Mutnuri Karrthikeya Sarma, 3rd-year B. Tech AI&DS course, is working on the problem statement titled- Every Classroom a Digital Classroom. He said, ‘Learning new things has always excited me, and participation in such events would enhance one’s creative thought process. Our team members Sunkara Yaswini and Mupparthi Rema Sharanya from 2nd-year AI&DS, Yallamelli Visvesh Kumar and Mora Asha Deepti from 4th-year ECE, and Battula Kalyan Kowshik from 2nd year CSE are relentlessly working to provide innovative solutions to the given problem statement. Participation in SIH Grand Finale has boosted our confidence, and all our teammates are very excited about the finale, said Karrthikeya Sarma. The team is under mentorship by Prof K Sripath Roy and will participate at the nodal center in Komarapalayam, Tamilnadu.
