Objectives of the Department
In this tenure of degree course, which is a vast and ever expanding with unbounded ability to absorb talented man power. The course centers on digital video production and the creative applications that relate to the production of film and television programs. It examines the use of current technology for video production in general, digital filming and Animation in particular. The use of computers for editing, expertise in special effects and post-production are important elements of the course. In this programme, students would be able to produce and manage assets in a variety of media like Text, Graphic, Audio, Video, Animation, Visual Effects (VFX) and Electronic Media industries, by using a variety of technologies employed in the media industry and work effectively in the production studios.

Meets the immediate industry needs
Visual Communication and Applied Arts and Crafts are the two new age programs which are designed to cater to the needs of the creative industry and meet the demand in Media and Entertainment Industry. It is evident that we are living in the age of information, where people believe in seeing things, as to simply state the truth, “Seeing is Believing and Believing in Seeing”. There is need for the trained professionals to work in the industry to inform, entertain and educate people in any given society. Media, being the fourth pillar of our country, an educated professional in the industry yield god results act be functional for the sake of society good. Innovative Pedagogy
Unlike regular graduate programs, the programs offered in the department need customized teaching-learning management system. While the main objective of every professor in the Department of Fine Arts is to evoke a sense of creativity, we also admit to the fact and need of the hour that is being accountable to the society is of great significance. Students are trained in classroom and dedicated labs. Field Trips, Industrial Visits, Guest Lectures, Student Development Programs are routine in the Department. We try to bring in that synergy and balance between theoretical and practical knowledge. Students are made to work on assignments and live projects at regular intervals of time. Let every student to happy learn and be of industry ready by they complete program.
State of the art Infrastructure
Green Mat Studio, Display Studio, Audio/Dubbing Suite, Sculpture Arena, Painting Zone, Photography Lab, Drawing Room, Animation Suite, Video Editing suite equipped with the state-of-the-art Apple Mac Systems. All to ensure and facilitate a student to have a holistic learning of the practical knowledge. Cameras for the still photography and videography, lighting equipment and camera gears are available in the department for the student’s utilization. Sound-proof screening theatre in the University will help the students to screen their works to have an actual theatrical experience.
Application Oriented
Majority of the courses in the programs are application oriented, therefore every student is given ample amount of time and space to pursue the best of practicals assigned by course coordinators at regular intervals of time. Application oriented courses make the student to find out the new solutions to address an issue of local, national and international interest. These courses will also make students to ideate, conceptualize and execute projects in an effective manner. Students are involved in the projects, which make them to make use of the available resources such as an equipment and softwares pertaining the projects.
Global Certification
Every student in the department is given an equal opportunity to pursue certificates of global recognition. Certification from Adobe, Corel Draw, Google, Sony, Canon, ProTools, Black Magic, Facebook, etc., will fetch the students to have a leading edge over the competition in the industry. We also encourage students to pursue courses online as to gain more knowledge in the fields they are interested in. These courses will give peripheral knowledge pertaining to their specializations.
Student Research
Research Body in the Department of Fine Arts, comprising faculty members and led by Head of the Department looks into the matter of Research and Development. Students are motivated to work on research in association with respective faculty members in the Department to produce a collaborative research work, later will be evaluated by the HoD and concerned faculty members for publishing it in peer reviewed journals.
Entrepreneur Opportunities
Visual Communication and Applied Arts and Crafts are the job-oriented and professional programs. By and large, there are many opportunities available for the students to start their establishments while taking this program. With immense pleasure, we are privileged to have a good number of students in the department who have had their presence in the market as an entrepreneur serving the needs of the media and entertainment industry ranging from personal to corporate.
Placement Support
Internship program is made mandatory for every student to complete any program that we have on offer. Faculty in the department will counsel every student and identifies his/her interest area. Thus, they make sure that the students are partially placed as an internee at their subject interest. Soon after the completion of internship, they are observed as an employee of the company in many cases. However, Professor In-charge for Placement Support will help student to get placed and monitor the attrition rate of students placed in the industry by monitoring their performance at work for a stipulated period.
