With the growing demand for creative people, applied arts and crafts has a great role to play with visual communication. It is evident that we are living in an information society, and the society is in great need for personnel to create, process, communicate, inform and entertain people of the existing society. To serve the needs of the society, K L University has started Visual Communication in the year of 2014 with a good number of students onboard, Animation and Filmmaking as specialisation on offer. Courses such as Graphic Designing, UI/UX Designing, Design Basics, Sound Designing and Photography being the core courses. A student is given an opportunity to choose specialisation from the above two. State-of-the-art studio floors, Editing Suites, Photography Studio, Greenmat Studio, Animation lab with sophisticated computer systems that house different softwares helps for all-round development of a student. Apple Mac Machines do provide a cutting edge experience for a student to learn softwares in detail.

Applied Arts and Crafts - a program that is none of its kind in India. It is started in the year of 2018 with Painting, Sculpture, Animation and Filmmaking being the specialisation. A tailor-made BFA program for a student to choose and to live career in the interested field. To be precise, students will be learning the nuances of creative arts and media studies. Art gallery, Display studio, Painting and Sculpture studio will facilitate a student to work in a healthy hassle free zone and display creative art works for art lovers, curators and critics. Sophisticated labs and studios helps Animators and Filmmakers to learn well in their respective disciplines and to excel their creative abilities.

Guest Lectures, Workshops by eminent people from Industry and Academics will be a routine in the course of study. Industrial trips, field visits make a module that let students to learn empirically and effectively.

In a nutshell, Whilst the core objective of the programs in the Department of Fine Arts is to make students industry-ready by imparting right knowledge with customised curriculum, but also meeting the needs of society is of paramount importance.
