K L University (KLU) has been actively collaborating with the prestigious Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Bangkok, Thailand. This partnership has yielded significant benefits for both institutions, fostering academic exchange and research opportunities. Faculty Exchange and Research Collaboration: A team of seven faculty members from KLU visited AIT to explore potential joint research initiatives, aiming to push the boundaries of knowledge and innovation. Dr. K Sarath Kumar, a distinguished faculty member from KLU's ECE department, was invited to teach at AIT for five months, contributing to the institute's academic excellence. Dr. Chandrika, another prominent faculty member, was invited to deliver insightful sessions at AIT, sharing her expertise with the students and faculty. Dr. J K Singh from AIT visited KLU to organize a Faculty Development Program in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, fostering knowledge sharing and capacity building. Dr. Anal, a renowned academic, conducted sessions for KLU's Biotechnology students and faculty, inspiring and empowering them. Student Exchange and Joint Degree Programs: 11 Biotechnology students from KLU successfully completed a four-month internship at AIT, gaining valuable practical experience and international exposure. Seven of these students are poised to pursue their Master's degrees at AIT, taking advantage of the strong academic and research environment offered by the institute. KLU and AIT are on the verge of launching joint degree programs, starting from the academic year 2020-21, subject to necessary approvals. These programs will enable students to undertake internships in Thailand and complete their Master's degrees at AIT, providing a truly global education experience. This strategic partnership between KLU and AIT signifies a significant milestone in the university's journey towards global excellence. By fostering academic exchange, research collaborations, and student mobility, the two institutions are empowering students and faculty to reach new heights in their academic and professional endeavors.
