Foreign students (Self Sponsored) are no need to pay - Admission fee, IT fee, Examination
Fees, Certificate Courses offered by KLEF (One Course Per Year), ERP Fee and Caution Deposit
during their study period to university.
They need to pay Required Fees for Certificate Courses offered by Courseera (or) any other
Institutions.
For Backlog Subjects students shall pay examination fee separately.
For Condonation / Detention students shall pay the fee as per University Rules
& Regulations.
Any breakage or loss / damage caused to university property (ClassRooms/Lab
equipment/Library Books) by the student, he/she shall be bare the expenses of
repair/replacement.
SAARC country students are allowed to pay their fees in Indian Rupees (INR).
Other than SAARC Country Students shall pay in USD ($).
US Dollar to Indian Rupee Conversion rate is 1 US Dollar ($) equals to Rs.(₹) 80.00 Ps

Hostel
University life is just one part of experience as a university student. About 40 percent of KLEF students live in university hostels for the entire period of their study. Living on campus gives students a place to prepare for classes or enjoy with friends. The University offers excellent student living accommodation within the campus for international students. Student residences provide a comfortable and safe environment to the residents to succeed academically, grow personally, and to meet their interests and needs. Though KLEF strongly recommends to all international students to stay in University hostel but in case a student wants to stay in a private accommodation, the University provides all the support to find a suitable one.

KL University has separate hostels for boys and girls with well furnished rooms and modern
amenities. The overall atmosphere is very conducive for the students to concentrate on studies.
A state- of – the- art kitchen and spacious dining area has been provided for both the hostels.
Generators have been provided as power back up.
Emphasis has been laid on hygiene and cleanliness for healthy living. A customized menu caters
to the student needs and it keeps changing according to their tastes.
Teaching staff will have to address academic and personal problems of the students.
Round-the-clock security, communication, dispensary facilities are also available.
Wi-Fi enabled hostels.
The Girls Hostel
The girls hostel is within the campus and houses 1024 with a capacity of 1192 with 500 rooms. Different rooms accommodating 2 per room, 3 per room with attached toilets as well as A.C. rooms are also available. Suite rooms with modern furniture and separate study room are also available.
The Boys Hostel
It is a short walk from the university accommodating 1957 students with a capacity of 2040 with 780 rooms. Different rooms accommodating 2 per room, 3 per room with attached toilets as well as A.C. rooms are also available.

Note:

It is mandated that all foreign students have to stay in hostels for their entire
study period.
Rooms are allocated on a first-come-first-serve-basis.
Booking confirmations by payment equivalent to one (1) semester, deposit
must be received by the Finance and Accounts Division of the University, failing which the
University will not be able to guarantee the accommodation requested. Thereafter, the remaining
must be paid on of 2nd semester starting time.
Students no need to pay Building Fund, Caution Deposit and Electricity Charges for
Non Airconditioned Rooms.
For Air Conditioner Facility students need to pay the electricity bill by recharging the
electricity meter on prepaid basis.
SAARC country students are allowed to pay their fees in Indian Rupees (INR).
Other than SAARC Country Students shall pay in USD ($).
Any breakage or loss / damage caused to Hostel Property by the student, he/she shall
bare the expenses of repair/replacement.

Scholorship
KLEF confidently believes that financial restrictions should not stop a qualified student for further career growth. To award excellent achievement and to draw students of the utmost quality from around the world, the University offers a number of international scholarships. The scholarship is applicable only on the tuition fee. The Scholarship scheme program is a transparent and merit based which offers scholarship of up to 25% of the first year tuition fee, beginning first year, on joining the university as a full-time degree-seeking student. In subsequent years, renewal of scholarship is subject to consistent high performance as per the norms set by the university from time to time.

The scholarships / assistantships described within this brochure for one year only (renewable

Scholarships / assistantship are awarded by the University's Scholarships Committee / School and
their decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into as to the reasons for their
decision. No appeal is allowed, as once scholarships are awarded, all funds have been committed
The University reserves the right to withdraw, terminate or suspend any scholarship /
assistantship on disciplinary grounds or in case of academic failure
Scholars will be required to assist the University with its marketing and publicity activities as
appropriate
The University reserves the right to withdraw or amend a scholarship without prior notification
Scholarships / assistantship are offered subject to funding and availability
All scholarships / assistantship are subject to satisfactory academic progress and verification of
academic qualifications
Scholarships / assistantship are awarded for a specific degree program and start date. Students
may not change the program or defer the scholarship
Scholarship Scheme is for the normal duration of the program. However if student takes more than
normal duration to pass the program, he will not be entitled for Scholarship for duration in
excess of normal duration. In case of Dual Degree / Integrated Programs, Scholarship scheme is
applicable only for first program / diploma and not for higher degree
Scholarship scheme is applicable only on annual Tuition fee as prescribed under the head "Program
details with Tuition Fee Structure" in International Relations Website and does not include fee
for various other requirements / facilities like Backlog / re-appear / Make up fee etc
In all matters relating to Scholarship, the decision of the KLEF Scholarship Committee would be
final & binding
This is not applicable for Research Programs like Ph.D/M.Phill
Cost of Living
The cost of living at KL University in Vijayawada / Hyderabad depends on type of accommodation and location.
- The university offers comfortable and safe student living accommodation.
- The university offers separate hostels for boys and girls with modern amenities.
- The hostel fee for an academic year at the Vijayawada campus varies depending on the type of room.
- The university provides support to find suitable private accommodation if a student wants to stay off campus.
Hostels within / outside the University shall cost approximately US$ 120-150 per month.
Refund policy
Generally no refund of fee is permitted on account of withdrawal/absence from College or other reasons once a student is admitted to any course of study.
A refund claim may, however, be admitted on merit after due consideration of the request by the University. If approved, the amount to be refunded shall be within the limits stated below:

(i) Any time after admission but before 10 days from the date of commencement of the classes |

(ii) Any time thereafter and within 30 days from the date of commencement of classes |
50% of the first installment fee – Refund will be subject to the condition that the seat so vacated is filled up |

In all cases where the student has been admitted to the course after the commencement of classes through the waiting list or otherwise, the number of days specified above will be reckoned from the date of ‘commencement of classes’ and not from the date of their actual admission.
Any student who withdraws from the course after the date of commencement of classes as mentioned in sl. no.1 (ii and iii) above will be required to remit to the University, in addition to the amount already forfeited, the course fee payable for the remaining period of the course.
All refunds will be made in accordance with Foreign Exchange Regulations.
All refunds will be processed by the Student Finance Office of the University upon receiving the approval from the Registrar of the University based on the recommendations from the Director, International Relations.
Note:

Refunds will be made only after the candidate has surrendered the ID card, original fee receipt
and the dues clearance certificate.
Application fee and Registration fee is not refundable under any circumstances

The university reserves the right to change, alter, amend or rescind any matter given herein, at
any point of time, as it may deem necessary without notice or assigning any reason whatsoever.
All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India only.
How to pay?
The fees can be paid by one of the following modes:
1) Student can make the online bank transfer from their home country through wire transfer, for this students have to approach Office of International Relations Office for invoice copies.
2) Banker Demand Draft in the name of "K L University", Payable at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. Applicant's name, Parent’s Name, and Program applied for should be mentioned on the back side of Draft.

In case any Processing fee or other charges are levied by the bank/agency for the completion of
transaction at the source/intermediate side then those charges will have to be borne by the
student. The University will credit only the amount that the University has credited in its
accounts.
Student, in their own interest, should retain the proof of the payment transfer with them and they
may have to produce the proof while joining the University Information related to Fees.
All the Students other than SAARC Countries have to pay their fees in US Dollars only.
All the Students from SAARC Countries can pay their fees in INDIAN Rupees.
All international applicants have to pay the at least one semester.
Fee for the successive semester(s) fee will be payable at the time of Academic Registration i.e.
July/August and November/December.
The fees mentioned in the offer letter/acceptance letter may not be error free thus for the most
