Through this Centre of Excellence, students of Mechanical Engineering get to pursue their B. Tech and M. Tech projects. In addition to this, student also participate in various national events like SAE Baja, Go-kart, HVC (Hybrid Vehicle Contest), Solar challenge by analysing their vehicle design through MSC Software. Students collaborate with faculty and publish patents through this Centre of Excellence.
This COE conducted 4 faculty development programs and 8 student development programs after its commencement. Department of Mechanical Engineering merged this software with few courses in their curriculum like PSTD (Problem Solving Techniques in Design), Mechanical & Materials-2 and Finite Element Methods. Through this COE, the department offers certificate courses which are issued directly by the MSC Software company.
