Language Workshop :

A Teacher Training Programme was held from 16.10.2012 to 18.12.2013. 21 participants from various departments took part in the programme.

Learning, Teaching Styles and Curriculum Delivery:

A Faculty Development Programme was held from 03.12.2012 to 11.12.2012. 45 participants took part in the programme.

Bloom’s Taxonomy and Micro Teaching :

A Faculty Development Programme was held from 07.01.2013 to 12.01.2013. 20 participants took part in the programme.

Automation Process on Open Electives :

A Orientation Programme was held on 05.02.2013 by S.Venu Madhav .40 participants took part in the programme.

Ethical Way of Teaching :

An introductory Orientation Programme was held on 06.02.2013 by Smt. Lalitha Varanasi, on the topic “ An introduction on Ethical Way of Teaching”. All the Deans, Directors and HODs participated in the programme.

A Refresher Programme :

A 3- Day Teacher training Workshop was conducted from 1st to 3rd March,2013 on “Ethical Way of Teaching by Smt.Lalitha Varanasi of Prajna, Hyderabad The Programme was attended by 45 Senior Professors of K L University on all the three days.

A Special Awareness Programme

A 1 Day Workshop conducted by Mr.Godfrey Rajan from CLASSELE Chennai, an MHRD recognized organization. This Programme from National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) was conducted on 13/03/2013 for members of faculty drawn from various disciplines. The resource person spoke at length about the mission of NPTEL and took the participants through all the facilities and interactive options in NPTEL, CLASSLE. This programme was well received by the participants. In all, 140 teachers were benefitted by this Programme.

He touched upon the Traditional Methods of Pedagogy being complemented by the new resources and methods and Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL). The importance of incorporating Virtual Labs was also touched upon. He encouraged the participants to spread awareness about ‘Exam Fever’ among students. This Programme, no doubt, will go a long way in strengthening the Teaching- Learning process through ICT.

A 6 -Day Programme has been conducted on “ Improvised Method of Paper Setting “as per Blooms Taxonomy during 11th March to 16th March,2013 for all the faculty of the University.

A Guest Lecture:

A Guest lecture on “Academic Research “ has been delivered by Prof. B.Yagnanarayana, Microsoft Chair, IIIT, Hyderabad on 12th April,2013 to the faculty of Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electronics Computer Engineering.

Workshop:

A 1 Day workshop has been conducted for all Heads of Departments and Research Groups Heads on 25th April,2013 on the topic “ Competency Based Teaching “ as per Washington Accord/ABET.
