The KL College of Engineering was started in the Academic Year 1980-81 and attained autonomous status in 2006 and conferred with Deemed University (Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation Deemed to be University) status in the Year 2009 under Section 3 of UGC act 1956. NAAC assessed the University and accredited for a period of five years from 2018 to 2023 with a CGPA of 3.57 with an A++ grade. The University has accorded Category-1 status. KLEF is UGC, Recognized under section 12B of the UGC Act 1956. Our institute is also having ISO 9001-2015 Certification.
