SURABHI & SURABHI ALMA -2020

SURABHI -2020 is India’s largest cultural fest launched by KL University with the theme of Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat. This is the (number) edition of the national level cultural fest, which is the most awaited event of the year. Surabhi has a widespread publicity campaign through which colleges across the country are being reached, through the assistance of the team SURABHI. The previous version of Surabhi has been a mind-boggling success with (count)+ participants spread over various colleges and have been the most happening event. During this pandemic time TEAM SURABHI came up with an online version of this edition. The main idea of the event is to spread and give knowledge about various cultures throughout India. The event has happened across 3 days from 4th September to 6th September 2020.

Surabhi consists of over various speaking events, literary events, Dance events, Dramatics, Music events, Quizzes, Arts & Crafts, Fashion & Life style, and Surabhi Specials with a total of 32 events. We have the total of 21k+ registrations, with participation of students in all the events from various colleges from all over India. The three-day had many exhilarating events where eminent drummers, renowned kathakali dancers, prominent puppetry artists, distinguished folk dancers came together on one digital platform to perform

THEME:

The main theme of   the fest is “EK BHARATH SRESHT BHARATH”.

The Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat programme, aims to actively enhance interaction between people of diverse cultures living in different States and UTs in India, with the objective of promoting greater mutual understanding amongst them. As per the programme, each year, every State/UT would be paired with another State/UT in India for reciprocal interaction between the people. It is envisaged through this exchange, that the knowledge of the language, culture, traditions and practices of different states will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between one another, thereby strengthening the unity and integrity of India.

The program details for the main days are as follows:

• Inauguration of Surabhi on 4^th September 2020 at 6:00PM.
• Start of various events on different channels in zoom
• Surabhi for Alumni organized on Sept 19^th & 20, Surabhi-ALMA

Soon after lighting of the lamp and a beautiful prayer song playing in the background. After this student anchors welcomed the dignitaries on to the dais. Then opening speech by our alumni and Associate Dean Dr PVRD Prasada Rao gave warm and motivating words and proceedings started.
