The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science at KLEF was established in 2020 with a clear and focused mandate — to train the next generation of AI leaders and to conduct meaningful research at the intersection of machine intelligence and data-driven technologies.
The department is staffed by highly qualified faculty holding doctoral degrees from reputed institutions across India and abroad. Their combined expertise spans the breadth of the field — from deep learning and computer vision to natural language processing, cybersecurity, and IoT systems.

Dr. Venkata Naresh Mandhala
The HoD provides strategic leadership and vision for the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science. With extensive experience in academic administration and a strong background in research and innovation, he is responsible for maintaining high academic standards, fostering research excellence, and building industry partnerships.

Alternate Head of Department (Alt HoD)
Dr. V. S. R. K. Sharma
The Alternate HoD supports the Head of the Department in both academic and administrative functions. With substantial teaching experience and active involvement in research, he contributes to curriculum planning, faculty coordination, and academic quality assurance. He plays a vital role in maintaining continuity in leadership and academic excellence.

Assists in managing academic operations and student affairs, while leading research initiatives in sustainable technologies and intelligent systems.

Focuses on curriculum development and academic quality assurance, with a strong research focus on AI-driven diagnostics and medical image analysis.
