The very word “counselling” has a calming effect on an individual, creating a sense of security that there is someone with whom they can share and discuss their ideas, intentions, fears, and dreams related to education, career, and life. At an early stage in their academic journey, students need the support of an expert who can act as a mentor, guide, and well‑wisher, helping them overcome psychological barriers.
Supporting Students at Every Step
At KLU’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering, our counselling system is designed to guide students through academic, personal, and career-related challenges. We ensure that every student has a trusted mentor to talk to, seek support from, and grow with.
Psychological Counselling
Professionally trained psychologists counsel students regarding their personal and interpersonal concerns. They assist students in addressing social, vocational, emotional, academic, health-related, and organizational issues that may hinder their personality development and overall well-being.
Academic Counselling
Academic Counsellors guide students in selecting the right courses that align with their career goals. They assess students’ mental abilities, academic interests, and proficiency, and suggest suitable programs and skill-development courses. This enables students to plan their academics effectively and seize the right opportunities.
Career Counselling
Choosing the right career at the right time is a crucial decision for youth, especially when they face peer, social, and family pressures. Academic Counsellors help students identify suitable career paths that match their personality traits, strengths, and aspirations, enabling them to build a successful and fulfilling professional life.
