Students in their early academic stage need the help of an expert who acts as their mentor, guide and well-wisher in mitigating their psychological bottlenecks. At KLU department of Computer Sciences and Engineering, we initiate counseling of all sorts at different stage or students can approaches us directly when the student is need of these services.
Professionally trained psychologist counsel the student off their personal and interpersonal issues and assist them in addressing the social, vocational, emotional, academic, health and organizational concerns and barriers to the personality development of the student.
Academic Counselors extend assistance to the students in selecting the right course in accordance to the career growth perspective. They assess the student's mental abilities, academic interests and proficiency and suggest appropriate programs and skill development courses so that the student could plan their studies well to grab the right opportunity.
Choosing the right career at an appropriate time is a serious concern for the youth that is under tremendous peer, social and the family pressure. Academic Counselors help student in identifying the right job that suits best for his/her personality traits towards achieving a thriving and prospering career.
The department maintains comprehensive records of counselling sessions for different academic years (Y23, Y22, Y21, Y20) to track and monitor student support initiatives.
