Abstract
One way of attaining the antenna gain is to use an array of elements. The proposed antenna is an elliptical patch array of 8x8 elements that are etched on the special material of Teflon substrate with dielectric constant of 2.1 and dielectric loss tangent of 0.001. The operating frequency of the antenna is at 5.5GHz which corresponds to IEEE802.11standard for Wireless LAN applications. The current antenna has the gain of 25dBi and return loss of -14.68dB and bandwidth achievability up to 94%. The proposed model is simulated using Ansoft HFSS and its radiation patterns and other antenna output parameters are presented in this paper.
