NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON “Translation,Language and Literature” (NCTLL)-2013

A Workshop is organized by the Department of English K L E F on6th and 7th May 2015-at Sunflower Hall on “ New Approaches And Developments in Curriculum Designing” . Dr. M Latha, Head of the Department, stressed the need of the hour to develop a new curriculum according to the changing environment of the Language Teaching in her Inaugural address. Dr. G. Mohana charyulu, Chairman Research Progress and Assessment Committee (RPAC), Dept of English explained the importance of New Curriculum designing at present as there are surprising changes in English Language Teaching to the Technical Education Students. He directed all the participants to make a note of the scholarly deliberations made by resource persons and come out with a productive work.

Prof MDS Pillai, Sr Faculty and Trainer for GRE, TOEFL and others, exchanged his views regarding the new curriculum designed for the students of KLU B.Tech. Explaining the synopsis of NIT Warangal Workshop, Reading and Writing Skills are dominating all the fields of Teaching English at Graduation Level, he said. Now a days every student needs to explain clearly all of his thoughts blinking in his mind without any hesitation. Par with the needs of Speaking and Listening skills, every corner of the language has its own impact on the student in learning English Language, he elaborately explained with worksheets and examples.

Prof M V Ramanamurthy, Sr Faculty and Curriculum Designer exhorted the importance of Student Centred Teaching rather than teacher centered teaching. ESP, ESL and other areas of Language teaching spreads its fragrance in English Curriculum designing.
