The Department of Internet of Things (IoT) was established in 2020 under the mentorship of department of ECE. Internet of Things (IoT) is an interdisciplinary program which has its application enormously increased in the past few years, it has a vast scope of usage. IoT generally refers to a growing network of internet-connected devices that find various applications in engineering and sciences.Industrial IoT Devices are expected to add $14 Trillion to the Global Economy by 2030.By 2025 the global worth of IoT tech is projected at $6.2 trillion, with the maximum value from healthcare ($2.5 trillion) and manufacturing ($2.3 trillion).

A 4-year full time B. Tech Program in Internet of Things (IoT)combining elements of electronics and computer scienceandfirm foundation into wireless communications, data networks, sensor devices,cloud computing, data analytics and security with AI and Machine Learning.A deep knowledge on IoT devices, renewable energy systems and smart healthcare system is also included. The programme equips students with a solid theoretical foundation, systematic professional knowledge, andstrong skill for IoT system design and Development.

  • The students will develop strong skills in sensors & instrumentation, wireless communications, chip-design,Renewable energy Systems and cybersecurity & privacy of IoT.
  • To collaborate with Industry and Research Laboratories through projects, internships enabling the students to explore, apply various directions of learning.
  • To acquire skills in relevant areas in scientific research, technological development, product design and professional management in the IoT field.
  • To enable the students to keep pace with changing technological advances and skill development with the various industrial tie-ups likeIBM Watson, Microsoft, Tessolve, HUAWEI, GE Healthcare, CDAC, NTPI, UIPATH and NASCOM.
  • This course shall instill confidence in students to gain excellence and success in the field of IoT and furnish in global standards.
  • Students can choose from several academic flexibilities to pursue their career in a field of their interest. The programs are designed with the main objective of making students adapt to latest technologies, specializations and be industry ready at the end of their academic journey with KLU.
