IEEE Computational Intelligence Society - Student Body

The IEEE CIS Student Body plays a pivotal role in fostering research, innovation, and technical excellence among IoT students. It provides a platform for students to explore advanced areas like AI, machine learning, neural networks, and intelligent systems through workshops, competitions, and expert interactions. By connecting students with global IEEE resources and professional networks, it enhances technical skills, research capabilities, and career readiness in emerging intelligent technologies.
The inaugural ceremony of the IEEE Student Chapter “Computational Intelligence Society” at KLEF was held on 11th March 2023. The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by dignitaries from the IEEE Hyderabad Section and senior professors of KL University. The Department of Internet of Things hosts an active IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Student Body, dedicated to fostering innovation, technical excellence, and collaborative learning among students. The student body regularly organizes a wide range of activities to enhance exposure to advanced technologies and hands-on learning.

Expert Talk on Navigating the landscape of AI organised under IEEE

The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, SBC organized an online guest lecture titled “Navigating the Landscape of AI” on 29th August 2024. The session featured insights from the JNTUH Chair, CIS/GRESS Joint Chapter, highlighting emerging trends and applications in Artificial Intelligence. The expert speaker provided valuable perspectives on current research directions and industrial advancements in AI.

Workshops on Smart Irrigation and Smart Agriculture organised under IEEE

The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Student Body organized an insightful session on Smart Irrigation and Smart Agriculture, focusing on the integration of advanced technologies in farming. The session highlighted how IoT sensors enable real-time monitoring of soil moisture, crop health, and environmental conditions. It also showcased the role of AI-driven analytics in predicting water needs, optimizing resource usage, and improving crop yields.
