1. The Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering of K L University has organized a two day National workshop on RECENT TRENDS IN BIG DATA ANALYSTICS in association with CSI Koneru Chapter sponsored by Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi on 28th and 29th August 2015.
2. The Department of Electronics & Compute Engineering has organized a workshop on "Recent Trends in Wireless Networks" on 24th July 2015.Dr. G. Rama Murthy, Professor, IIIT, Hyderabad was the resource person.
3. The DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING (ECM) K.L.University, Vaddeswaram organized a subject based seminar on "Web Security" during 20- 8-2015 for the faculty of ECM & CSE departments. The resource person is Mr. M. Nityanand, CTO of Entersoft IT Solutions Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad.
4. The DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING (ECM) K.L.University, Vaddeswaram organized a guest lecture on "Digital Forensics" during 20-8- 2015 for IV/IV B.Tech Students of ECM. The resource person Mr. M. Nityanand is an Information Security Consultant, and also CEO and CTO for Entersoft IT Solutions Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad.
Professional Society Activities
• The Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering organized a 'Career Guidance Seminar' in association with IETE Student Forum ,KL University for IVI/IV B.Tech students of ECM. The department invited Indra Praveen Sandrala, Researcher at German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI).
• KLU ECM Women's forum conducted "HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAMME" for the Girl students on 18th August 2015.

Topic : Obesity and its effects on Women's Health .
The Programme started with a welcome note by Dr. D Aruna Kumari, Professor Department of ECM. She introduced the resource person to the gathering. Dr. Kiranmai gave a power point presentation on the topic of "Obesity and its effects on Women's Health".
Dr. Kiranmai discussed about different girls related health problems like Obesity, Infertility. She said as the girls are future mothers they need to maintain the balance between food and activity. Otherwise it may cause hormonal imbalance which can lead to infertility.
She emphasized that obesity, acne and pigmentation problems should be properly diagnosed. She said that, if these problems are due to PCOS, then medical treatment alone can solve these issues.
Student Association Activities
1.On the event of International Youth Day 2015 on 12/08/2015, NSS Volunteers of ECM formed a human chain in the form of a ribbon and read out the pledge to create awareness on HIV/AIDS and Alcoholism in the campus.
2. Self-defense training was given to girl volunteers of ECM Department on the eve of Independence Day celebrations on 15/08/2015.
3. Swatch Bharat and Plantation Drive are conducted in village of Vaddeswaram on 30/08/2015.
4. An awareness program on "Job opportunities in the field of Electronics and Computers" was conducted for the students of III/IV B.Tech and II/IV B.Tech ECM Students under student association "ESSENCE", on 18-8-15.
5. An Idea Presentation contest was conducted for B.Tech students under student association "ESSENCE", on 19-8-15 .
Faculty Achievements
• Dr.D Aruna Kumari, Assoc. Professor, Department of Electronics & Computer Engineering recieved Young Scientist Research Grant from DST-SERB Worth 35,78000 during July 2015.
• Dr.Md.Ali Hussain, Assoc. Professor, Department of Electronics & Computer Engineering received
"Young Faculty Award 2015" from Venus International Foundation (VIFFA-2015) on 5th July,2015 at Radha Regent, Chennai.
