Inauguration of Women Entrepreneurship cell "KLU WISE - Women Igniting the spirit of Entrepreneurship" in association with ALEAP at KLUniversity campus

KL University's Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Center (KLU IIE) has established a women entrepreneurship cell with the name "KLU WISE" (KL University's Women Igniting the spirit of Entrepreneurship) in association with ALEAP, Hyderabad (Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh) on 31st July 2015 and the inaugural function was held at Peacock hall of KL University. The objective of the cell is to encourage women students and faculty to establish their own start ups and initiate their business which creates employment opportunity for the needy people especially of the new capital region of Andhra Pradesh.

Smt. K Rama Devi, President ALEAP is the chief guest for the inaugural function and talked about ALEAP and its operations across AP state. She highlighted few of the success stories of Women who took ALEAP support in becoming Entrepreneurs and also informed the girl students how to take Entrepreneurship as part of their academic passage. She also insisted on the empowerment of women by means of training, mentoring, funding and facilitating them at all the stages right from idea generation and up to commercialization of the business idea submitted through KLU-IIE. The President of ALEAP highlighted the different schemes relevant to Women Entrepreneurs and created confidence in the minds of the budding entrepreneurs who will contribute towards the economic growth of Andhra Pradesh state as well as the country.

Dr. M Ramamoorthy, chancellor KLU has mentioned the importance of Entrepreneurship in every body's life and informed the students to seize the opportunity provided by KLU through ALEAP. Dr. K Raja Sekhar Director IIE KLU has informed about the MoU with ALEAP and highlighted its importance in encouraging girl students and Women faculty towards entrepreneurship and also enlightened about IIE center initiatives for the students of KLU and advised them to accept the initiatives provided by KLU. Dr. LSS Reddy Vice chancellor of KLU has said that the exceptional support given by management towards Entrepreneurship activities became crucial component of a university's academic system. Pro VC Dr. AVS Prasad, Registrar Dr T Uma Maheswara Rao and Principal Dr. A Anand Kumar were also present during the inaugural function. All the girl students from various branches of B.Tech have participated in the function and few of the students have submitted their ideas for further proceedings. President KLEF Sri K Satyanarayana, Vice Presidents Sri K Raja Harin and Sri K Havish have appreciated the students and congratulated all the students & faculty in establishing Women Entrepreneurship Cell. The Inauguration function was concluded with vote of thanks by Miss. Aneela, Assistant Professor Department of CSE.
