Dr. S. Ramesh Babu is the Head of the Department (HOD) and Associate Professor of MBA at KL Business School, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (KL Deemed to be University), Vijayawada. With a Ph.D. in Management and over 20 years of academic, research, and administrative experience. He has built a strong reputation as a teacher, scholar, and academic leader in the fields of Marketing, Retailing, Rural Marketing and Services Marketing.

Before assuming charge as HOD, Dr Ramesh Babu served as Professor In-Charge, Academics for the MBA program, where he was actively involved in curriculum reforms, academic planning, and quality assurance. His research interests include Retailing, Rural Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, and technology adoption in services, and his work has been published in reputed Scopus and ABDC-indexed journals. To his credit, he has a UGC funded research project on Exploring Marketing Opportunities for Handicrafts with the Emerging Trends in Retailing. He has also guided several student research projects and dissertations, emphasising innovation and industry relevance.

Dr Ramesh Babu has contributed extensively to curriculum development, faculty training, and policy framing at the Business School. His student-centric teaching approach combines case studies, experiential learning, and industry interactions, equipping learners with managerial skills and leadership capabilities for dynamic business environments.
