K L Deemed to be University (KL) is committed to the
socio-economic development of the country with inclusive growth
as its focus. To achieve this goal, K L Deemed to be University has established
KL Entrepreneurship Development Centre (KL EDC). The
objectives of KL EDC include promotion of entrepreneurs among
students encouraging ideation, innovation, incubation,
proto-typing and commercialization. Towards this end, KL EDC
networks with high-impact entrepreneurs around the
nation and creates a platform to students test their ideas and
aim at start-ups. KL EDC promotes the philosophy of encouraging
job creators than job seekers.
KL selects and supports ordinary students and
nurtures to be extraordinary entrepreneurs with a vision to
transform the society and bring prosperity. The prestigious
SAMYAK-National level Techno Management Fest is one such annual
event and a platform for students, where number of potential
entrepreneurs exhibit their ideas and impress on various
stakeholders on their start-up plans. Each year the quality of
Business Plans presented and the number of participants in the
Fest is rising. Some participants bring in exceptional and
high-impact proposals for the Fest. Students of all ages,
ethnicities and educational backgrounds are encouraged to
deliver value propositions to the developing world. Through hard
work, creativity and values-driven leadership, individuals
living anywhere, from any background, can turn an
entrepreneurial idea into a world-class venture.
KL EDC helps young entrepreneurs unleash
their potential by providing them an unrivaled network of
seasoned business leaders, who provide the key ingredients for
entrepreneurial success. At the heart of KL EDC’s innovative
model is our world-class network built to support Entrepreneurs.
Once selected, entrepreneurs are provided with customized
services from a volunteer network of global and local business
leaders who serve as mentors, advisors, connectors, investors,
and role models. These services take place on both the affiliate
and global levels.
Innovators push the boundaries of the known
world. They're change agents who are relentless in making things
happen and bringing ideas to execution.
In many ways, innovation is the key to success
no matter what business one is pursuing. The break in innovation
is bound to bring in mediocrity.
KL EDC CELEBRATES AND ENCOURAGES INNOVATION
AND THOSE WHO INNOVATE WITH THE ABILITY TO CONVERT THEIR IDEAS
INTO PRODUCTS AND SERVICES TO SERVE CUSTORMER NEEDS.
Students are highly encouraged to network with
other mentors. Further more, the KL EDC partners with many well
known companies entrepreneurs and companies and host several
networking events for the students. KL EDC facilitates
interaction with many successful entrepreneurs and business
leaders.
KL EDC makes a promise that no one is going
to be more passionate and driven about creating a great
presentation than we are.
Membership: All registered students of KL
are eligible to become members of the KL EDC. The facilities
and services of the KL EDC can be availed by all members of the
Centre. Membership is governed by the guidelines in vogue.
Membership Type: The membership will be
granted under three categories viz., Interns, Assistants and
Managers. All students shall be initially admitted to KL EDC as
Interns. Based on performance criteria, the Management Committee
shall promote members as Assistant and Managers.
Membership Form: Eligible students are
required to apply for
membership in prescribed form.
