DST-PURSE Sponsored Center

The DST-PURSE initiative at KLEF aims to foster excellence in research by advancing capabilities in the field of low-dimensional materials and flexible dielectrics for optoelectronic and microwave devices. Under the PURSE program, KLEF has established a dedicated Centre of Excellence, emphasizing interdisciplinary research and innovation. The center focuses on synthesizing and characterizing novel dielectric and ferroelectric materials, developing flexible electronic devices, and designing advanced antennas for microwave and RF applications. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments like Atomic Force Microscopy, which supports nanoscale imaging and analysis, and RF Sputtering systems, which ensure precision in vacuum-based thin-film deposition. Additional tools, such as electromagnetic simulators and high-precision inkjet printers, enhance the capability for material prototyping and evaluation. Beyond its infrastructure, the PURSE program integrates application-oriented product development and patenting into its research framework. By encouraging collaboration across disciplines like Physics, Electronics, and Communication Engineering, the center addresses cutting-edge challenges in material science, nanotechnology, and wearable electronics. This initiative exemplifies KLEF’s commitment to driving research and innovation while contributing to the global scientific community.
