The Department of Food Technology, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (KLEF), Deemed to be University, has established Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with two of India’s premier institutions in the field of food science, food processing, and agribusiness, the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship & Management, Thanjavur (NIFTEM-T) and the CSIR–Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore.
These strategic collaborations are designed to strengthen academics, research, skill development, and industry readiness by leveraging the national expertise, advanced infrastructure, and research excellence of both institutions. The collaborations also support knowledge exchange, capacity building, and the translation of research outcomes into practical and entrepreneurial applications.
The MoU with NIFTEM-T, an Institute of National Importance, focuses on strengthening collaboration in advanced food processing technologies, food entrepreneurship, value addition, and research-led teaching. The partnership enables student and faculty participation in training programs, research activities, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
The collaboration with CSIR-CFTRI, a premier national research institute, aims to enhance exposure to cutting-edge food science research, processing innovations, analytical techniques, and technology development. The MoU supports joint research activities, technical training, and expert interactions.
