Legal aid
Access to justice is immensely important as availability of justice
and mere attainment of legal knowledge is not sufficient; hence we
at KLEF College of Law try our best to put it to instant use through
our Legal Aid Committee. The committee consists of both students and
guided by faculty members. The committee aims at imparting awareness
regarding basic rights required to be known to the needy people.
We conduct regular legal awareness programs in and around Andhra
Pradesh. Recently, KLEF College of Law conducted Human Rights
Awareness program at Ippatam Village, Tadepalli Mandal, Guntur
District, AP. We educated the villagers about the importance and
Necessity of Human Rights .The villagers are also informed about the
ways and means to approach the State Human Rights Commission for any
speedy redressal of Human Rights violation. All the Volunteers also
marched against the practice of Child Marriages still persisting in
some villages in India, thereby creating insight about the issue,
among the villagers
“The Committee has also conducted program on Creating awareness
among the students on anti-discrimination” The Speaker has
demonstrated the wide area of legal provisions relating to
Anti-discrimination with real life incidents. Special emphases were
issues of Human Rights violations in the society in spite of many
laws to protect the weaker sections of society from discrimination.
Similarly, programs on the topic of Gender Sensitization, Women
rights and Responsibilities etc are being conducted to give students
a better exposure in legal field.
