Novel Drug Delivery Research Lab (R-411)

Our research lab caters to students (M Pharm Pharmaceutics), PhD Scholars and faculty for routine experimentation and also cutting-edge research work in the design and evaluation of novel drug delivery system.

Aligning with the thrust areas of research at the institute, the lab is equipped with top-of-the-line facilitieslike the multi-stage Franz diffusion cell apparatus, probe sonicator, double beam UV/Vis spectrophotometer, FT-IR, and a high-resolution 8k resin 3-D printer, etc.The students and researchers also have access to industry leading software like GastroPlus® (Academic license, Simulations Plus, USA)for biopharmaceutical modelling and simulations, Systat Software (Grafiti LLC, USA) for statistical data analysis.

Our lab enables the development of various formulations including transdermal patches, microneedles array patches of various design features using 3D printing, nanoparticles, and their precise characterization and evaluation, followed by data treatment using the software packages available.
