Dr.Tata Rao, K. obtained the Degrees Master of Commerce and Master of Library and Information Science from the Andhra University. He has been awarded the degree Doctor of Philosophy in the Library Science . Currently, he is working as University Librarian in the Central Library – K L University. Formerly he served as Librarian, Mrs.AVN College, Visakhapatnam and Lecturer, Dept.of Library and Information Science, Nagarjuna University, Guntur and University Librarian, Sri Sathya Sai University, AP.

He has been closely associated with the Librarianship for the last 35 years. He is an unwearied researcher and a devoted scholar. More than a dozen of his research articles have been published in the books and highly reputed journals. His research papers have been published in the HINDU news paper, UNIVERSITY NEWS and CALIBER PUBLICATIONS. He has been conferred the National AWARD entitled “Dr..S R Ranganathan IASLIC AWARD 1997” against his best articulation. Currently He is University Librarian and HOD ,at the Central Library, K L University.
