Dr. V. Praveen Kumar has over 20 years of experience in the field of Biotechnology and has proven track record of leadership in academia. Previously served as Research Associate at Sri Raghavendra Biotechnologies, Bangalore where he significantly contributed to adoption of advanced cell culture methods, co-culturing systems, and the incorporation of biocompatible materials for tissue engineering applications.
Dr. V. Praveen Kumar is dedicated to providing students with a comprehensive education that combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills. He has played a pivotal role in designing a robust curriculum that reflects the latest advancements in biotechnology, ensuring our graduates are well-prepared for successful careers in academia, industry, or entrepreneurship. The department offers specialized courses in Genetic Engineering, Medical Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology and Bioinformatics disciplines, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to learning that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving. He is an active member of various internal committees like NBA, NAAC and UGC.
