The Department of Biotechnology at Koneru Lakshmaiah
Education Foundation (KLEF / KL University) offers a comprehensive suite of
academic programs — from undergraduate to doctoral — designed to nurture future
biotechnologists skilled in both theory and practice. The department combines
rigorous coursework, cutting-edge labs, and research opportunities to prepare

1. Bachelor’s Degree (Undergraduate)
B. Tech in Biotechnology
A four-year engineering degree, this program follows a
semester / credit-based structure (L-T-P-S model) to provide a balanced
education in theoretical concepts, practical lab skills, and applied
biotechnology.
A student would be graduating with B. Tech Degree in Biotechnology if s/he
could earn minimum of 170 credits, as stipulated in the curriculum.

KLEF offers several flexibilities for students at both
Undergraduate and post graduate level. This includes acceleration & deceleration
of degree programme, minor degree, degree with specialization, withdrawal and
