Chief Guest Addressing

Sri.Y.S.Chowdary Hon'ble Minister of State, Science and Technology and Earth Science Govt. Of India was the Chief Guest of The Program.

In his Convocation address Sri.Y.S.Chowdary highlighted the landmarks and established by KL University in the past Decade. He also stressed upon the one of its future responsibility as the premier institution situated at the center of the New Andhra State Capital. He hoped that K L University would stand up to the task of building the state interms of technology and services. Sri Chowdary stressed on the need to coordinate the research efforts of the campus with national requirements with regards to growth and development plans. An alignment of Research plans has to be developed all over India. So that proper Technology transfer, Collaboration can be forged on various International platforms. To achieve better results. Sri Chowdary advised that research has to be taken up at the undergraduate level. Also one has to keep in mind whatever research output comes out of the campus should be fit to be put in practice. Once this aspect of our education system is addressed adequately there is no reason why India should not achieve advancement on par with countries like USA,Japan and China. He made a special mention of the burgeoning of Chinese products in International markets and the favorable customer response they are receiving universally. He mentioned some major fields and openings for graduate students of Technology and Management. He urged the outgoing students to consolidate their gains by concentrating on research in the coming years.
Presidents Addressing In his address of the gathering, Er.Koneru Satyanarayana, President , Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation stated his inspired speech with some telling comments on the existing education system particularly the age old teaching styles that reduce the student to the level of a perennially passive receiver of knowledge. He saw some light at the end of the tunnel in the form of the current educational plans and the budget of the new government which promises to reverse the retro patterns that surfaced during the last decade. The two-pronged drive at policy reforms as well as strategic intervention is expected to yield positive growth. This may give the double advantages of educational reform coupled with economic upliftment. The willingness to welcome technological innovation into the curriculum and classroom management will certainly put our education system in the fast track.

Presenting a brief survey of the growth of the institution of its present status, Sri Satyanarayana reiterated the aim to become one of the top ten universities in our country. He expressed satisfaction over the progress made in several aspects like research, academic innovation and classroom pedagogy. Particular attention is given to the process of updating the syllabi, the tracking and evaluation methods. Most of the courses are designed keeping in view the needs of the industry and to enhance the job readiness of students. The students receive additional training in areas like Teamwork, Corporate Ethics, and Social skills. One further facility is created in the system to encourage the student to gain knowledge in key interdisciplinary areas. The student is also provided various platforms to garner, specialize and master societal, co curricular and human skills. In conclusion, Sri Satyanarayana urged the students to build their future career with vim and vigor He invited them to play eventful and meaningful roles, as the alumni of their Alma mater.

Guest of Honor Addressing

Dr. B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, the guest of honor, stressed on the importance of industrial revolutions which have brought phenomenal changes and transformation in the physical existence and outlook of large numbers of populations. The fire and the wheel in the past and the computer in the recent time have all left their massive impress on the face of human society. Dr. Reddy pointed out a significant factor that the world's per capita income increased tenfold while the population increased six fold during this time(1800-present time) .By any standard these allowed for a massive and momentous shift which would lift human existence to a different plane. Presenting an overview of various industrial revolutions Dr. Reddy remarked that the first industrial revolutions was set off by mechanization of textile industry and the discovery first of the steam engine and then of electricity. Another impacting factor was efficient production of steel. Similarly the second industrial revolution made its giant strides with mass manufacturing, automation and assembly lines. The third industrial revolution saw the spread of electronics and IT into many other industries. The impact has revolutionized our thought process life style, and communication processes. It has wiped out the distance from far flung continents. Now we are at the threshold of the fourth industrial revolution and about to watch manufacturing being taken over by digital technologies. Dr. Reddy also identified some of the technologies that are going to get pride of place in the coming decades. They include internet 3d printing, automation etc.,

Concluding his inspirational speech Dr. Mohan Reddy said that learning is a continuous journey and not a destination. Every engineer will do himself a world of good, if he can master two technologies, two domains and industries. Then it can be said with some confidence that he has done his basics well. Finally, he alerted the outgoing prospective engineers that their preparation would not be complete without gaining a wholesome awareness of engineering and professional ethics, the buzzword that is making the rounds in the business and corporate echelons of the world.
