Events Organised:
- Cloud computing research group of department of computer science & engineering has organized a one day workshop on IBM Blue mix tool under the umbrella of IBM Center of excellence (IBM COE) activities on 17/07/2014 on the occasion of IBM Blue mix day. Around 220 students of B. Tech 3rd and 4th year CSE have participated. Mr. Ch Yuktesh, IT specialist, IBM India pvt. Ltd., was the resource person.
- The Department of Computer Science & Engineering has organized a one day orientation program on latest technologies "The App Wave" for 3rd year B.Tech. Students on 21/07/2014. The orientation program is headed by Siri IT Innovations Pvt.Ltd., Hyderabad with a group of four resource persons have been participated. Dr. Srinivas Jonnalagadda delivered his lecture as key note speaker. Mr. T. Sai Krishna, CMO, Mr. Santosh R.Nell, Vice-President, and Mr. Avinash Yelamachili, CEO have spoken.
- Computer Science & Engineering Department has organized a Guest Lecture on C- Programming Concepts for 3rd year B.Tech. Students on 11/08/2014 at Room No C-121 from 10.30 AM to 12.00 Noon. The resource person Mr. Muni Reddy, Sr. Manager for IBM Research labs – Bengaluru working on cloud computing and OS2 parallel to Windows has addressed the students with programming tips. Around 250+ students of 3rd BTech have been attended for this program.
- Computer Science & Engineering Department has organized a Guest Lecture on "Innovations in Processor Architecture" for 4th year B.Tech. Students on 11/08/2014 at Room No C-121 from 12.00 Noon to 01.30 PM. The resource person Dr. Madhu Mutyam, Asst. Professor, IIT, Madras and alumni of this Institute has visited to our campus to deliver a guest lecture on Processor variants and architectures of systems. Around 150+ students of 4th B.Tech and faculty members have been attended for this program.
- The Department of Computer Science & Engineering has organized a Guest Lecture on Mobile Computing for 4th year B.Tech. Students on 1/08/2014 at Room No C-121 from 10.30 AM to 12.15 PM. The resource person of the program Dr. N. Sri Hari, Professor of Computer Science & Engineering and Graduate Director, University of South Carolina, Colombia.
- Computer Science & Engineering Department has organized an Interaction session by Dr. Rama Subba Reddy, Professor and Dr. Rama Krishna Pasumarthy, Asst.Professor from IIT-Madras, Chennai on 17-10-2014 at Room No: C-625 from 11.00 AM to 01.00 PM for the Final year B.Tech. Students across all branches of KLU, around 250 students have been attended for this session. The guests are introduced by Dr. K. Subrhamanyam, Professor and Assoc. Dean R&D and honoured with bouquets.
- Computer Science & Engineering Department has organized a Guest Lecture and delivered by Dr. Prahalada Rao B.B, Joint Director of C-DAC, Banglore, on 03-11-2014 at Peacock Hall from 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM for the Final year B.Tech Students of CSE and 1st Year M.Tech. Students of all the three specializations and about 300 students have been attended for this session.
- MIC- Ideation program conducted: The ideas presented in 6th ideation program of MIC are getting implemented in the IVth floor lab of CSE. The Prototypes are likely to be ready in April 2015.
- IBM– Workshop on Bluemix: A one day workshop on IBM Blue mix tool under the umbrella of IBM Center of excellence (IBM COE) activities was held on 18/03//2015 on the occasion of IBM Blue mix day at Jasmine hall of KL University from 4.00 to 8.00 pm. 50 students of B. Tech 3rd year CSE & ECM have participated in the workshop. Mr. Ch Yuktesh, IT specialist, IBM India pvt. Ltd., was the resource person. The students have registered and deployed their web applications on IBM Blue mix cloud server.
