Computer Society of India (CSI) Activities
CSI-FUNQUIZ-2015 (Zonal Level & A.P State Level& National Level)
Department of CSE, KL University hosted all levels (Zonal, A.P.State Level and National) of CSI Fun Quiz 2015 which is a remarkable achievement of the department. The ETV, Andhra Pradesh is the media partner for this entire program. The main theme of "DISCOVER THINKING 2015" event is on Science and Information & Communication Technology (ICT) to Middle School level (VI to IX Standard).
Zonal Level: CSI Funquiz-2015 Zonal Level is organized in K L University and other six zones across the state on 11-02-2015.
State Level: A.P State Prelims Level Competition is organized in K L University on 14-02-2015. Winners of State Level Finals given cash Prize- of Rs.3000/- and Certificate of Appreciation.
National Level:National Level Competition is organized in K L University on 21-02-2015.The 07 winning teams from each of the states representing like Tamil Nadu(Hossur), Maharastra(Pune), Puddhicherry ,Gujarat(Ahemedabad), Kerala(Cochin), Goa and Andhra Pradesh, had participated at the National Level Competition held in K L University ,Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh,the students which are drawn on similar lines from different states of the country.

The Chief guest of the function Dr.K.Gopi Krishna, Sceintist D, Dept.of Science & Technology,New Delhi and President & Chief Advisor of the event Prof.P.Thrimurthy, Former President of CSI has distributed and congratulated the winners .They stressed the importance of Science & ICT for the younger generations and the event motto should reach to rural community of India. The Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Dr.L S S Reddy, Dr.A.Anand Kumar, Principal of College of Engineering , K L University. Dr.K.Thirupathi Rao ,HOD-CSE has appreciated the award winners. Sri.A.V.Praveen Krishna,CSI- Funquiz-2015, Coordinator of K L University had coordinated the complete program of CSI-Funquiz-2015. The office bearers of CSI- Koneru Chapter Dr.V.Ramakrishna,Dr.M.S.R.Prasad and Dr.K.Rajasekhar has participated in this event.
4thCSI - PROJECT CONTEST - Region-V Prelims
The student team of CSE Department,K L University has bagged the I prize in the CSI-Project Contest conduted for the Region-V (Andhra Pradesh,Telengana & Karnataka) which was held at "A.S.N Womens Engineering College"Tenali,Andhra Pradesh, on 09-03-2015.They will represent Region-Vat 4th CSI- National Project Contest in Chennai.

Students Association Activities
1. KLY NEMSIS Team of CSE Department under the guidance of Mrs. K. Ruth Ramya has organized an event Sahithya Kalakar on 05-10-2014 from 5:30pm - 9:30pm at PB SIDDHARTHA with a view to rescue the orphans at Apple established in the year 2001 with about about 50 small children in this organization. Participants from colleges in and around Vijayawada took an active participation in the band play, skit, classical dance which marked astonishing. Finally, a cheque of Rs. 30,000/- was handed over to APPLE SEVASAMITHI from NEMSIS.
2. FOCUS team attempted to analyze and assess knowledge in the name of 'Technical quiz competition' - QUIZOMANIA'14 on 09-10-2014 allowing students to spend valuable time to learn, discover and communicate with each other.
3. The first CEA activity of CSE department for the academic year 2014-2015 was organized on 12th oct 2014 at Z.P.H.School, Manchikalapudi village which is located behind Continental Coffee pvt.ltd. CEA team of CSE department consists of 20 members The Faculty Incharge(s) from CSE Department are Mrs. K. Ruth Ramya and Mr. T. Vijay Saradhi. Around hundred and odd patients were treated in this medical camp. The event went on at a pace in which the public who turned up for the camp were contented by the services rendered by the doctors and the student body-CEA. The event was successfully held upto 5.00 pm

CEA
CEA team of CSE department conducted a activity "Technology oriented teaching" in Geethanjali Public School, Nanburu Village in Guntur District. There are 250 children studying Nursery to Tenth Standard. CEA TEAM of CSE has 20 members of III/IV B. Tech students & IV/IV B. Tech students. CEA team of CSE was headed by Faculty Incharge(s) Mrs.K. Ruth Ramya and Mr.T. Vijay Saradhi. The main objective of this programme is to impart computer related technology to the rural children. As a part of this objective we conducted orientation in 3 areas of computer like MS Office Package, Internet, Hardware.
NEMSIS
The NEMSIS team conducted an event –Swine Flu Awareness Program. The event started on 07-02-2015 at 3:30 P.MatM.G. Road, Vijayawada. they created awareness among people about the vaccinations and the precautionary activities to be followed. The threat of Swine flu triggers demand for masks. They distributed 1500 masks for free to people.
