1. Maloji Suman, Research Scholar, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (K L University), Registered No. 10304004 under the guidance of Dr. M. Madhavi Latha, Professor JNTU Hyderabad as supervisor and Dr. Habibulla Khan as Co-Supervisor was awarded Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering for the Ph.D. thesis entitled "Enhancement of Compressed Noisy Speech Signal" on 13 June 2014
2. K. Hari Kishore, Research Scholar, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (K L University), Registered No. 10304008 under the guidance of Dr. M. Madhavi Latha, Professor JNTU Hyderabad as supervisor and Dr. Habibulla Khan as Co-Supervisor was awarded Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering for the Ph.D. thesis entitled "Fault free error coding technique for memory applications" on 24th July 2014.

K.Ch.Sri Kavya, Research Scholar, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (K L University), Registered No. 10304007 under the guidance of Dr. Habibulla Khan, Professor, KL University as Supervisor was awarded Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering for the Ph.D. thesis entitled "Resynthesis of Array Antennas under pattern constraints using modified gradient based algorithms" on 2nd September 2014
4. P Vinay Kumar, Research Scholar, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (K L University), Registered No. 10304006 under the guidance of Dr. T Anil Kumar, Professor S R Engineering College as supervisor and Dr. Habibulla Khan as Co-Supervisor was awarded Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering for the Ph.D. thesis entitled "Performance Analysis of Multiuser Detector for DS-CDMA Systems over NAKAGAMI-m Fading Channels " on 17th October 2014.

1. Ms. K.Ch. SriKavya, Women Scientist, ECE department, has been invited by the International Centre of Theoretical Physics to participate in "School on Open Spectrum & Applications of White Spaces Technologies", during 3rd to 14th March, 2014 in Trieste, Italy. Her participation is financially sponsored by UK Foundation "Network The World"(NTW), along with co-sponsorship from ITU, NIT, NSRC and ICTP

2. RF & Microwave Research Group, Dept of ECE, K L University, sponsored by Ministry of Science & Technology Government of India organized national conference titled "Recent Advances in Communication and Information Technology" on 13th and 14th March 2015.
3. The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering organized a guest lecture on Statistical Signal Processing for Under Water Applications on 10-12-2014. Dr.S.Koteswararao, Retired Scientist ''G'', NSTL, Visakhapatnam was the speaker
4. The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering organized a guest lecture on Analog Communications concepts and future scenario on 23-02-2015. Mr. Kalee Prasad, Sr.Engineer Dooradarsan Kendra, Vijayawada was the speaker
5. The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering organized a guest lecture on Speech Processing Current Problems and Challenges on 18-02-2015. Mr. Anil Kumar Vuppala, Asst.Professor, IIIT Hyderabad was the speaker.
6. The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering organized a guest lecture on Programming in Digital Image Processing on 25-03-2015. Mr. K.V.CHANDRA SEKHAR, Head, GDP division, National Remote Sensing Centre, ISRO, Hyderabad was the speaker.
7. The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering organized a guest lecture on Robotics and Intelligent Systems for Society on 20-03-2015. Dr. J Ravi Kumar, Asst.Professor, ECE Department, NIT-Warangal was the speaker.
National Conference on Recent Advances in Communication and Information Technology (RACEIT - 2015)
1. RF & Microwave Research Group, Dept of ECE, K L University, sponsored by Ministry of Science & Technology Government of India organized national conference titled "Recent Advances in Communication and Information Technology" on 13th and 14th March 2015. The conference was well attended by faculty members and students from reputed technical and educational institutions from different parts of the state. In four technical sessions held over the two days, 15 papers and 4 posters were presented at the conference.
2. The conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest at the inaugural function, Dr. N. Aparna, Head, PP & US, NRSC Data Centre, NRSC, Hyderabad on 13th morning and also released the Conference Souvenir on the occasion and shared her views on recent advances in satellite communications. The inauguration was soon followed by the key note address of Dr. K. Sarat Kumar, Professor of ECE, Associate Dean (P &D), K L University, Dr. ASCS Sastry, Head, Dept. of ECE, K L University, Dr. M S G Prasad, A/Head-ECE, K L University and Prof Dr. S Lakshmi Narayana. Then the first technical session is addressed by Dr. N. Aparna, Head, PP & US, NRSC Data Centre, NRSC, Hyderabad on Recent Developments and the future of the satellite sensors.
3. In the afternoon, the second session started with the paper presentations. The session was chaired by Dr. K. Sarat Kumar, Professor of ECE, Dr. K. Ch Sri Kavya, Associate Professor-ECE, Mrs. I. Govardhani Associate Professor-ECE K L University and Dr. K. Kumar Naik Professor of ECE , and 6 paper presentations were made during that session.
4. The proceedings on 14th started with the paper presentations. The session was chaired by Y.S.V.Raman,Dr.K.Rammohan Rao, Associate Professor-ECE and 9 paper presentations were made during that session.
5. In the last technical session, 4 Poster presentations are made during that session. The session was chaired by by Dr. K. Sarat Kumar, Professor of ECE, Dr. K. Ch Sri Kavya, Associate Professor-ECE, I. Govardhani Associate Professor-ECE K L University.
6. During the valedictory program conducted in the evening, Dr. K. Sarat Kumar, Dr.M.S.G.Prasad, Dr.T.V.Ramakrishna, Dr.K.Kumar Naik, Dr.E.V.Krishna Rao, Professors of ECE, K L University distributed the prizes for the paper and poster presentation and handed over the certificates to the participants .A few participants who gave their feedback on the conference praised the institution for hosting the conference.
7. Dr. K. Sarat Kumar, Professor of ECE, Associate Dean (P &D), K L University, delivered the vote of thanks to all the sponsors, advertisers, delegates, representatives from the media and the faculty and students for their support and assured that RF & Microwave Research Group, Dept of ECE, K L University will organize more such activities in the future.
Professional society Activities
• IETE Student Forum of ECE Department conducted Technical Quiz to II, III and IV year B.Tech ECE Students on 20-02-2015 from 2P.M to 5 P.M. 100 students have participated and they have been divided into 20 teams, each team consisting of 5 students. First prize of Rs.3000, second prize Rs.2000, and third prize of Rs.1000 have been announced to the winners of the Quiz from the IETE Student Forum fund.
• IETE Student Forum of ECE Department conducted Project Exhibition on 26-03-2015 from 2PM to 5:00P.M. This event is organized in Microwave Lab in third floor of C-Block. 16 teams have participated and exhibited their projects which are hardware based and some are hard ware supported by software. Almost 50 students and 8 volunteers have participated in this event. II and III year ECE students have actively participated and made this event a grand success.
Students Association Activities
• 'Swachh Bharat' an activity organized by HOPE team of K L University on 16-02-2015 from 2.20 P.M to 4.00 P.M. Swachh Bharat is a clean India mission started on October 2nd , 2014 by our Prime Minister Sri.Narendra Modi in order to achieve Mahatma Gandhi's dream of cleanliness by the year 2019. Swachh Bharat is organized in our campus premises to bring awareness among the students of K L University regarding the necessity of cleanliness and motivate them on the issues regarding the objectives of the campaign.
• 'Idol of ECE' is an event designed to encourage students of E.C.E department to test their preparation and knowledge in both technical and communication skills. It serves as a mock test for the upcoming competitive exams that are to be faced by the engineering students. This event is conducted for 2nd and 3rd year E.C.E students. This event is conducted on 19-02-2015 between 3.30 P.M and 5.10 P.M by PULSE.
• The Seminar competition was conducted by the PULSE team on 24-03-2015 for the 2/4 B.Tech students of the ECE Department. The topic given to them was "EMERGING TRENDS IN ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING".
• PULSE – the TECHNICAL student body of ECE, organized Treasure Hunt. The event offers an intense, challenging and entertaining experience to all its participants. Even corporate companies use these kinds of hunting games to make group members interact and for effective team building.
