Academic Staff College Activities.
1. A Orientation program on ABET model Curriculum was organized on 18.12.2014 at 9.30 am for all HODS. Dr.A. Srinath, Principal, KLU and Dr.JKR Sastry, Professor, ECM were resource persons for the program held in Sunflower Hall.
2. A Webinar on "Automation of Curriculum Design for Outcome Based Education using lonCUDOS" was hosted on 17.12.2014 to 18.12.2014 at 3.30 pm. All the Curriculum Design team members of Engineering Departments and Professors of KLUBS have attended the webinar held in Sunflower Hall.
3. 3days workshop on "Effective Presentation and Writing Skills" was organized from 10.12.2014 to 12.12.2014 for all the Faculty of the University having below 2 years of experience. 185 Faculty members have attended the workshop held in Jasmine hall for which Dr.M.Latha, Dr.K.V.Divya, Dr.G.Mohanacharyulu, Mrs.S.Lavanya were the resource persons.
4. A One week Training Program was organized for Research Scholars of 6th & 7th Batches. The training was offered for the two courses taken by research scholars for their Pre Ph.D. Training program for different courses of Paper 1 was held from 01.12.2014 to 06.12.2014 and for Paper 2 during 08.12.2014 to 13.12.2014. The Subject experts from each department have handled the courses.
5. A Training Program was organized for Course Coordinators on "Session Plan Design" from 24.11.2014 to 26.11.2014. All the Course Coordinators of all Engineering and FED Departments have attended the program. Dr.K.Rama Krishna ,Dean(Academics) and Dr.A.Srinath, Principal (ASC) were resource persons for the sessions held in Sunflower hall. 110 Faculty members have attended the sessions.
6. A 3 Days Workshop on "Outcome Based Assessment " was organized during 11-10-2014, 13-10-2014 and 14-10-2014 for all HODs, Deans, Directors and All Course Coordinators. Prof.S.K.Soni Retd. Faculty of NITTR was the resource person for the workshop held in Peacock Hall and 136 Faculty members have attended the workshop.
7. An Orientation Program on " Curriculum Design under ABET Model: Outcome Based Education" was organized on 25-09-2014 for All the HODs, Deans, Directors and Professors of Engineering departments as a groundwork preparation for ABET. Dr.A. Srinath Principal, ASC was the resource person for the program held in Peacock Hall for which 46 Faculty members have attended.
8. Course on "Train the Trainer" was organized from 23-09-2014 to 26-12-2014 for 37 Faculty members of of Business Administration. Dr. D.Srinivasa Rao and Mr.Vijaya Kumar Reddy were course instructors and was held in Soft ware Lab & MBA Class Room.
9. A Session on "How to write Research papers & Articles" by RPAC Chairman's of departments on 20.09.2014 to All the Faculty Selected Departments. 250 Faculty members have attended the session.
10. A 4 weeks training course on Teaching Pedagogy, Communication Skills was organized from 11-09-2014 to 16-10-2014 for the Faculty of Creating Arts & Media Studies by Dr.A.Srinath, Principal, ASC in F-312 room number.
11. A Webinar by V.B.Dharmadhikari, IUCEE on "Modern Teaching Tools" was organized on 05.08.2014. 53 Faculty members who are Course Coordinators have attended the webinar in F-306 room.
12. A Guest Lecture by Prof. Ramanujam, CPD Expert on "English Skills and Continuous Professional Development" was organized on 30.07.2014. All faculty members of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer science and Engineering and Electronics, Computer Engineering Department and English Department have attended the Guest Lecture. 70 Faculty members have attended the lecture.
13. "Introduction to best practices in English" was organized from 28-07-2014 to 28.08.2014 for English Department Faculty by Dr.Ch.Uma Maheswari in F-202. 12 Faculty members have attended and shared their views about the practices.
14. A Session was organized on "Developing a Syllabus and Writing learning outcomes" on 26-07-2014 for HODs and 1st and 2nd Year B.Tech Course Coordinators by Dr.A.Srinath, Principal, ASC in Jasmine Hall. 46 Faculty have attended the session.
15. A Certified Courses in Mathematical Modelling and Software Tools was organized from 21-07-2014 to 25.10-2014 for the Faculty of Engineering Departments. Dr.K.L.Narayana Dean (R&D), Dr.V.Rama Krishna of CSE, Dr.S.Satyanarayana of CSE, Dr. Apparao of Maths were the Course Instructors. This was organized by ASC in Class Rooms A312 and A408. 230 Faculty members were certified in the course.
16. An Orientation Program to Departmental Functionaries was organized on 19-07-2014 to All HODs, Alternate HODs, Academic Coordinators of Engineering Departments including Freshmen Engineering Department with Dr.A.Srinath, Principal, ASC and Dr. Ch. Hanumantha Rao, Dean(Exams & Evaluation) as resource persons in Sunflower Hall. 41 Faculty have attended the program.
17. An Orientation Program on Soft Skills was organized on 18-07-2014 for All 2nd Year B.Tech Students with Dr.K.V.S.G.Murali Krishna JNTU, Kakinada as resource person in Peacock Hall. 1500 Students have attended the session.
18. A session on Academic Regulation of B.Tech was delivered by Dr.K.Rama Krishna, Dean(Academics) on 18-07-2014 for HODs, Alternate HODs and Academic Coordinators of Engineering Departments in Sunflower Hall. 44 Faculty have attended the Session.
19. A 4 Days Workshop on "Research Methodology" was organized during 08-07-2014 to 11-07-2014 for the Registered Ph.D Scholars in VII Batch. Dr.LSS Reddy, Vice Chancellor, Dr. K.L.Narayana, Dean (R&D), Dr.G. Rama Krishna, Professor of CSE, Dr. K.Subrahmanyam Associate Dean (R&D), Dr. B.J.Singh, Associate Dean(Sponsored Research) and Dr. A.Srinath, Principal, ASC has delivered sessions in Sunflower Hall. 185 Scholars have attended the Workshop.
20. Orientation Program on Teaching Pedagogies was organized on 05-07-2014 for the Newly Joined Faculty by Dr.A.Srinath, Vice Principal, ASC in Sunflower Hall, 50 Faculty have attended the program.
21. Training on Project Based Labs was organized for two days on 26-06-2014 and 27-06-2014 for the faculty dealing with Engineering and FED Labs(C Lab EM Lab, Physics Lab and Chemistry Lab). The resource persons are Dr.B.Tirumala Rao, Professor of CSE, Prof.M.Suman, Associate Professor of ECM and Dr.V.L.Krishnan, Associate Professor of ME department.
22. An Orientation Lecture on KLU Policies, procedures and code of conduct was organized on 25-06-2014 in Jasmine Hall for the faculty with below 2 years experience in KLU with Prof. K.Subba Rao, Director IQAC as resource person. 95 Faculty have attended. .
23. Jeevan Vidya was organized in the University in three phases for all the faculty members of the University. Phase 1 was organized from 19th May 2014 to 24th May 2014, Phase 2 was organized from 26th May 2014 to 31nd May 2014 and Phase 3 was organized from 2nd June 2014 to 7th June 2014. Mr. Kalyan Mohan and Dr. Sumathi, Value Education Cell were the resource person for the program.
24. Outcome Based Assessment was organized in Three Phases for Head of departments, Deans, Course Coordinators of all the departments. The Phase 1 was organized for department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Electrical & Communication Engineering on 22nd May 2014. The Second Phase of the workshop was organized on 23rd May 2014 for the department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Bio Technology. The Third Phase of the workshop was organized on 24th May 2014 for department of Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

26. Workshop on Managerial & Interpersonal Skills was organized for all the Deans, Directors, Assoc.Deans, HoD 's & Course Coordinators of 2014-15 academic Year on 17th May 2014 in Jasmine Hall, Sunflower Hall. Resource Persons: Dr.L.S.S.Reddy, Vice Chancellor, KL University, Dr.K.Ramakrishna, Dean Academics Mr.P.R.Narendran, CEO, Peoplesmart, Hyderabad. 136 members have participated in this workshop.
27. User Awareness Session on SCOPUS program was organized on 12th May 2014 in Peacock Hall for 515 Faculty members of all departments. Mr.Vishav Sharma, Customer Development Manager, Science and Technology- Elsevier India, New Delhi was the resource person for the session.
