Events Organised:

1. THRUSANG-14, A two day National Level Technical Fest was organized by the students of Electronics and Computer engineering and 27th of September. THRUSANG this year has come up with a theme "PANORAMIC DEVELOPMENT THROUGH INDUSTRIALIZATION" which emphasizes on an unbroken view of an entire world through Industrialization as it has an enormous impact on our environment and plays a crucial role in the growth and expansion of our surroundings.

2. A workshop on "Legged Accelerobotix" was organized as a part of two-day national level technical fest THRUSANG-14. This workshop covered the concepts which prove to be the basic building blocks of legged robots and enables the students to develop a "HEXAPOD – 6 Legged Walking Robot" in just two days.

3. A workshop on "Android" was organized as a part of two-day national level technical fest THRUSANG-14. This workshop effectively imparted the basic know-how Mobile software is developed. It created good exposure to mobile software Dev platforms and frameworks, overall market exposure, Android platform.

4. A workshop on "Design Of Embedded Systems Using Pic-microcontroller" was organized as a part of two-day national level technical fest THRUSANG-14. This workshop aims at developing an Embedded Systems using MCU's right from the scratch.


5. A workshop on "Hadoop" was organized as a part of two-day national level technical fest THRUSANG-14.

6. Web Technologies research group of department of electronics & computer engineering has organized a one day subject based workshop on "IBM Blue mix tool" on 27/08/2014. Around 200 students of B. Tech 3rd year ECM have participated. Mr. Ch Yuktesh, IT specialist, IBM India pvt. Ltd., was the resource person.



7. As part of the Research Group activities, a guest lecture on "Object Recognition in Image Processing" was organized by Image Processing research group of department of ECM on 19th August,2014 from 3.00p.m to 5.00p.m in C625,6th floor. Mr.V.Radhesyam, Faculty, V.R.Siddhartha College of Engineering delivered the concepts and ideas to do research in this area. In his lecture he discussed the Face Recognition and Vehicle Recognition techniques in Image Processing and the importance of each sub area and its applications.

8. The NSS unit of KONERU LAKSHMAIAH UNIVERSITY, Department of ECM had organized a 2 day workshop on Basic Circuit Elements at Z. P. High School Revendarapadu on 19th & 20th September, 2014. NSS team of 40 Students along with four faculty members – Sri.M. Venkateswara Rao, Sri.K. Ravi Kumar, Sri.T.Ravi, Smt.T.Anuradha headed by the ECM-HOD Prof .N.Venkataram had participated in the Workshop.

9. The Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering organized a seminar on "Career Guidance" on 19th December 2014. Mr. Naga VishnuKanth Irukulapati, PhD student in Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden addressed the students on the benefits and facilities provided to the students for pursuing their higher studies in Sweden.

10. The Embedded System & Sensor Networks Research Group and Department of Electronics & Computer Engineering of K L University organized a two day workshop on "Embedded System Design and Development Tools" on 26th and 27th Dec,2014. This workshop was organized in association with IEEE KLUSB and CSI-Koneru Chapter. Mr. Y. Seshananda Reddy from Sunshinelektrik was the resource person for the workshop.

11. The Embedded Systems and Sensor Networks research group, Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering organized a two day Workshop on "Embedded Software Development Concepts" during 13th and 14th of February 2015, in association with CSI-Koneru Chapter and IETE-KLUSB. The resource person Mr. K.Rama Krishna is an engineer from CISCO, Bangalore

12. Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering conducted a guest lecture on Wireless Sensor Network based health care system on 20th February 2015. The resource person is Dr. Siba K Udgata, Professor in the School of Computer and Information Sciences, University of Hyderabad, India. He is also presently working at Centre for Modelling, Simulation and Design (CMSD) as Director.

13. Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering organized an expert lecture cum interactive secession on "Modeling challenges in state-of-art VLSI devices: FinFETs and Multi-gate devices" on 25th February 2015. The resource person Dr. Srivatsava Jandhyala, worked as "ASIC Physical Design Engineer " in semiconductor companies such as Broadcom, Freescale and Intel and presently working at Centre for VLSI and Embedded System Technologies (CVEST), IIIT, Hyderabad.

14. The Image & Speech Processing Research Group, Department of Electronics & Computer Engineering conducted a National Workshop on " Speaker Emotion Recognition using MATLAB" on 11 March 2015. Dr.Anil Kumar Vuppala, Assistant Professor, IIIT Hyderabad was the keynote speaker.

15. The Embedded Systems and Sensor Networks research group, Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering organized a guest lecture on "Modern Trends in Broadcasting" on 26th March 2015 for III/IV B.Tech and M.Tech (ES & WCSN) Students. The resource person Mr. P Kalee Prasad is a Senior Engineer in Doordarshan kendra, Vijayawada.

16. Web technologies Research Group, Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering in association with an IT based Company "InetSolve", Hyderabad conducted a One Day workshop on the "Development of Business applications using WEB services" related Technologies on 10th April 2015.Mr. K. Rajeswar Achary, Software Architect, Cognigent Technology Solutions [CTS] was the resource person for the workshop.

17. Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering organized a guest lecture on "No SQL Databases and Big Data Analytics" On 14th April 2015. Dr. D V L N Somayajulu, Professor and Dean-Academics, NIT, Warangal was the resource person.

Professional society activities

1. Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering in association with IETE-KLUSF organized a "Project Exhibition " with a motive to bring the innovative ideas of the students which are useful to the society for III/IV B.Tech students on 6th March 2015.

2. Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering conducted A Web Programming Competition—"Coding for Society" with a motive to bring the innovative ideas of the students which are useful to the society for B.Tech ECM ,CSE,EEE and ECE students in association with Student Body ESSENCE and CSI-Koneru Chapter on 20th March 2015.

Student association activities

1. The Student Association "ESSENCE" of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering conducted a "Technical Quiz" competition for III/IV B.Tech, M.Tech (ES) and M.Tech (WSN) Students on 24the February 2015.

2. The Student Association "ESSENCE" of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering conducted an "Idea Presentation" competition for III/IV B.Tech, M.Tech (ES) and M.Tech (WSN) Students on 3rd March 2015.

3. The Student Association "ESSENCE" of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering conducted an awareness program on "Job opportunities in the field of Electronics and Computers" for III/IV B.Tech, M.Tech (ES) and M.Tech (WSN) Students on 10th March 2015.

4. The NSS unit of K L University,Department of ECM had organized one day workshop on basic electronic elements at Don Bosco school,Mangalagiri on 20th march,2015.

5 The NSS unit of K L University,Department of ECM had collected rice of around 700 kgs and donated to "yuvatharam Foundation",Guntur.
