1. Seven UGC Research Awards for 2013-15 and 2014-16 (Out of 100 given by UGC, Nation Wide annually) Department of Biotechnology is recognized and funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST) under Fund for Improvement of Science and Technology Infrastructure (FIST).
2. Department of Biotechnology, K L University signed MOU with Directorate of Oil Plam Research, Pedavegi, West-Godavari, A.P.
3. Ms. K.Ch. SriKavya, Women Scientist, ECE department, has been invited by the International Centre of Theoretical Physics to participate in "School on Open Spectrum & Applications of White Spaces Technologies", during 3rd to 14th March, 2014 in Trieste, Italy. Her participation is financially sponsored by UK Foundation "Network The World"(NTW), along with co-sponsorship from ITU, NIT, NSRC and ICTP
4. A. Jhansi Rani, Research scholar, has been selected for the award of INSPIRE (Innovation in science Persuit for Inspired Research) FELLOWSHIP from DST. The fellowship shall be available to her for a period of 5 years or completion of doctoral (PhD) program, whichever is earlier.

Madhavi Latha, Professor JNTU Hyderabad as supervisor and Dr. Habibulla Khan as Co-Supervisor was awarded Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering for the Ph.D. thesis entitled "Enhancement of Compressed Noisy Speech Signal" on 13 June 2014.
3. N.S.M.P.Latha Devi, Research Scholar, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (K L University), Registered No. 10322003 under the guidance of Dr.K.S Ramesh, Professor KLU as supervisor and Dr. P.S Brahmanandham as Co-Supervisor was awarded Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics for the Ph.D. thesis entitled "Studies on Important Ionosphere parameters and irregularities during quiet and magnetically distributed times using ground and advanced satellite-based remote sensing techniques " on 19th July 2014.
4. K. Hari Kishore, Research Scholar, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (K L University), Registered No. 10304008 under the guidance of Dr. M. Madhavi Latha, Professor JNTU Hyderabad as supervisor and Dr. Habibulla Khan as Co-Supervisor was awarded Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering for the Ph.D. thesis entitled "Fault free error coding technique for memory applications" on 24th July 2014.
5. K.Ch.Sri Kavya, Research Scholar, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (K L University), Registered No. 10304007 under the guidance of Dr. Habibulla Khan, Professor, KL University as Supervisor was awarded Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering for the Ph.D. thesis entitled "Resynthesis of Array Antennas under pattern constraints using modified gradient based algorithms" on 2nd September 2014.
