Ravi Kumar have started the lecture with the introduction to robotics and how well the field of robotics is growing in India. He then displayed the Spark V ATMEGA16 robot that he brought with him. He took this robot as an example to demonstrate few concepts of robotics. He explained details of the robot such as microcontroller information, top layout and bottom layout. He then gave introduction of microcontrollers and the criteria in choosing a microcontroller, and then discussed in detailed about AVR Mega 16 Features. He finally elaborately explained the programming needed to code this microcontroller and gave a demo of operation by dumping the code, for motion control and white line sensing application, in to Spark V robot. The Faculty of ECE and second year students have actively participated in this session. More than 500 students had taken active participation in the event. The Alternate HOD of the ECE department have delivered his valuable message on importance of attending the lectures such valuable persons and thanked Dr.J. Ravi Kumar for delivering his valuable lecture to the students of ECE department, KLU. The Speaker was honored by Dr.MSG Prasad with a memento.
