Professional society

The Professional Bodies at our Department are organisations designed to advance their members' intellectual capabilities through an open exchange of information. They can comprise student and professional members who come together to understand how to comprehend solutions to real-world problems. These bodies help in empowering people through the power of knowledge and organise lessons revolving around value-added courses, and various kinds of learning series and competitions.

Professional societies such as the Institution of Engineers, The Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) are part of the department.

The Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is a leading professional society founded in 1953. This prestigious society has been recognized by the government of India as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO). This contributes to the student community in the innovative development of science and technology. This forum helps the students to enlighten their knowledge and expertise in the latest developments in Electronics and Telecommunication. IETE is a platform for conducting various programs to enhance and exchange ideas among budding engineers. It initiates technical education among engineers for national development and economy.

IETE Faculty Co-Ordinator: Dr. Syed Inthiyaz

The IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. The IEEE student branch at KLEF was renewed and started to conduct activities from the academic year 2010-11. Approximately 120 ECE student members become members of the IEEE every year. The IEEE student branch of the ECE department enhanced its activities by forming IEEE society chapters and Councils.
